I bet on Pinnacle every day and it's an offshore sportsbetting site that services Australians. I play on Stars every day and it's an offshore poker site that services Australians. If they were to merge and offer both services, I don't see how that's different

I'm thinking more from PS point of view and operating in grey area of Australian law, I agree if nothing has stopped them in the past why would they care now.

There is no grey area, the Interactive Gambling Act 2001 makes it illegal.

We are still waiting for Stars to get their full UK licence rather than relying upon the IoM licence giving them a UK pass until it is processed. The UK licence requires that firms do not operate in illegal markets. The firm must offer a legal rationale for operating in the market and unfortunately there is no such rationale for Aus.

I think we all need to calm down a bit.
This is all IF Abbot wins the next election. That is a BIG IF. Im not sure where the previous poster got the info that he is 90% to win the election because that's just not true. With the recent disasters of the GP co-payment, Medicare, Carbon Tax, De regulation of university fees etc. The Liberals are becoming BIG underdogs.

Abbott is getting flogged by public opinion at the moment, he pretty much has managed to look both weak and stubborn...not a great combination in a leader. Labour handed over the reins of power due to their circus-like incompetence and extremely obvious shady backroom dealing...I guess it makes sense if the Libs hand them back to their own mismanagement.

If you're a US citizen all you'll need is proof you're living in Australia (lease, bill, etc) to re-enable your account

If you're from somewhere else you can just log on as normal when you're in Australia

Also, less than 3 weeks until Richas loses charity bet. We can renew for another year for same amount if he wants to.
