yeah u can get for driod afaik, iphone u could still use it if u didnt update the os and already had it dl'd. I think u can make an apple id with a different country and dl it but not sure about that1.

I run stars on android. However, I did download it awhile ago so I'm not sure whether it is still available for download anymore.

I haven't heard a thing about online poker being on the agenda with the Libs. Luckily Xenophon doesn't have the balance of power. Turnbull is Comms minister and fairly switched on so think it will be fine another 10 months and they will be gearing up for the next election.

You can still run Stars on IOS, just have to download it using a non-AU iTunes account and re-download it whenever updates are released

The real money pokerstars app was banned on both the Apple App Store and the Android Google Play store in Australia.

Apple force you to use their app store to download any apps, so that makes it difficult besides using some tricky work arounds like people have mentioned (such as tricking it into thinking you're not in Aus).

Android however because you don't have to actually use the google play store, you can just go directly to pokerstars.com and download it no problems, works fine.

A bit off topic... but has anything changed lately affecting cashouts for players in Aus?
I'm thinking of making my first withdrawal soon (will use direct bank xfer or wire xfer). If someone could confirm that transfers to CBA from Stars or Full Tilt work without hassles, that would be a huge help.

Stars > CBA is usually at (or very close to, seems to be the worst at the end of the week) xe rates. It takes <24hrs most of the time.

Would I have to do a deposit w/ my CBA before I withdraw to it? I've been using skrill but chances are I'm wasting fees for no reason.

edit: seems I can directly cashout. Is a 'bank sort code' the SWIFT or BSB?
edit2: seems to be BSB according to stars website

Stars recently increased the spread on their AUD exchange rate. It used to be ~0.5% and it is now ~2.5% - they admitted the increase to me via email but not the specific amount. I don't know if skrill is any better than this. Other than the rate bank transfers are fast and easy as confirmed by others.

How worried are people about the upcoming UK licencing? People in the other thread postulating that stars will pull out of Australia and russia within 7 days. I have no idea what to think any more.
