He has said some optimistic stuff in the past to no avail, so that's what makes me think he wouldn't say it this time if it's not backed up or not going to happen.

Maybe it now makes more sense why WPN (ACR) have pulled out of Australia recently. Creating a beautiful redirected web page with Australia's iconic Opera House.

They might've got wind of something happening with the legislation and wanted some credibility for applying for a future Aussie license, rather than having a reputation of being a rogue off shore poker site. Would look a lot better for them if they are respecting Australia's Laws. Maybe??

This is most likely to do with the ACMA's enforcement policy.

When an ACMA representative was quizzed at the Senate inquiry about how rogue operators would be forced to comply, one of the steps involved requesting operators to post a popup informing Aussies that they are not a legal option.

Yeah I get a lot of 'I miss Pokerstars/online/ignition sucks/when is online coming back' etc from the local pub players at the games I go to up here as well

im all for complete internet freedom. i seriously hope you aussie guys get full online poker access back.

the fact that a gov't can/will legally determine how you spend your money is terrifying to me. makes me feel lucky im in canada.

Majority were under the impression it was illegal for players, not for companies to offer the service. I'll be doing my best to spread the good news when it arrives that's for sure.

I haven't withdrawn, but was very curious if I could deposit, so I made a small deposit last week (on ACR though) and it all went through no problems.

Still playing and plenty of Aussies still playing but obviously don't know which skin they're using.

Yea, doesn't look good, the "very good" update was supposed to be in a few days, which is what? almost 3 weeks now?

Then again, Government Bureaucracy, it is snail pace
