Magicians, we did, during the senate hearing. We explained it. They understood eventually, the key is for the politicians who don't get it to speak with one of the Senators who was on the committee looking into the issue. You're right, most politicans won't know or care one way or the other, but in Australia the major parties vote as a bloc, and Fifield is now the head of that bloc when it comes to our issue since he's the Minister for Communications. If this is a priority for him, it will happen.
Basically we just need Fifield on board and this happens. The LNP will vote as a bloc, and we have support from Leyonhjelm, Hinch and One Nation on the crossbench and Whish Wilson from the Greens seemed at least open to the idea during the Senate hearings, and that's without even knowing how Labor will vote, all we need is the LNP and the crossbench and it passes.
Like and share the AOPA post and contact Fifield directly letting him know that online poker should be legal in Australia, you expect the government to pass legislation THIS term and that his own party agrees, the QLD LNP have officially passed a resolution agreeing that online poker should be legal and regulated in Australia. We're literally asking him to pass his own political party's policy platform now.

Senator Fifield can be emailed at the link above. Get in touch and let him know you expect him to make this happen this term of government if you are going to consider giving him your support.

This isn't some hail mary 1% chance thing. This is more like a coinflip, the LNP has actually adopted our position at state level now, we just need to show Fifield that the public actually cares about this. If we don't get it done this term though, we'll have to start the process over with a new Labor government if they win and they're the favs to at the moment in the polling, so it's important we act on this now and contact Fifield to get this rolling as we're potentially less than a year away from an election.
Take 5 minutes and email Fifield. Leyonhjelm, Joey, Chris, etc are all doing what they can behind the scenes to make this happen
There are other politicians who are key too, and we will contact them when the time comes. For now, we're contacting Senator Fifield to make him aware that we exist, that his party in QLD adopted legal online poker into their platform at the recent convention and that we expect to see him act on that this term in government if he wants our votes.
