my plans to YOLO/withdraw my remaining funds this week have been ****ed as my Stars account got hacked and robbed over the weekend.

have been on Stars since 2005, so seems weird/unfortunate timing given upcoming lockout - a friend of mine who hates/distrusts Amaya with a fury has suggested it may not be a coincidence and that some mole within the org has targetted mine/other Aussie accounts given they won't be available in 7 days time. The thieves apparently had a perfect match on my password that had random capitals and numerals in it

Stars give zero ****s about this and won't even look for where the funds were sent so....my $$ are now gone.

Just in case my friend is correct, please ensure all security measures have been taken to protect your log in/funds

Yes I have used them and it worked for me. If you already have an account, probably it will not work for everyone but worth to try at least.

Good thing about it is that with ecoPayz, Australians can still get a free MasterCard (not possible for Skrill/NETELLER)

not sure about other services like this, you should probably google if there are others around, they seem to be the biggest tho

207 is Stars, no idea why they aren't invited to the hearing process as the biggest online poker site in the world but Betway did. I tweeted to the senators suggesting they have stars speak with the committee, if a few others could do the same to senators leyonhjelm, bernardi and whish wilson (can't find a twitter account for duniam) might help out case as Stars would have a lot of useful data re: the amount of revenue regulating the market brings in/explaining responsible gambling protections built in to software etc

Hmmm my withdrawals are stuck in pending withdrawals after i tried to withdraw a small portion through neteller as a test, since I normally always use visa debit.
Lets see how this unfolds

Sad times for my australian bros. I could ensure any potential grinders thinking of moving that Auckland and Wellington are great cities to move to. Queenstown is amazing but obviously very expensive. The summer grind in Nelson would be amazing too.

Neteller is the absolute ****ing worst. Got me jumping me through hoops to withdraw my money, and even now my money is still in limbo even though my "withdrawal" through Neteller has been accepted for 3 weeks. **** that website.

3 out of 4 of the submissions I helped edit and/or in my own one case wrote are up now, but one still missing so there are probably a few still to go up

Considering how many poker players in Australia weren't aware of the alliance or following it, its quite impressive to see that many submissions.. The volume alone should send a clear enough message considering a lot are personalised and from everyday people with different circumstances..

This Christmas, when you see those red kettles looking for your money, remember that the Salvation Army actively campaigned against online poker:

Come Christmas time, I think the Salvation Army deserves a few lumps of coal.

has Stars released anything specific when it comes to the actual time of withdrawal other than just saying the 11th. Have they also said anything specific about whether aussies can play the wcoop events on the 10th. Their support every time ive asked them directly just spins the bull**** memo they sent us back in mid August.

this is what they sent me (after I asked them via e-mail)

"As you know, the Interactive Gambling Amendment Bill (2016), which was passed recently and effectively bans all online gambling sites not locally licensed under Australian State or Territory law, has been granted Royal assent. It has been some time to come, but sadly we can confirm that PokerStars will be withdrawing real money services from Australia on September 11, 2017.

Although we cannot confirm the exact time this action will take place, please note that Australia based players will not be able to participate in any of our games AFTER the September 11, 2017.

So players most likely will be able to play at the tables until the 23:59 ET of the 11th of September."

ok thanks for that pies. If thats not a typo and they mean ET as in server time we have til 2pm on the 12th then.
