for a long time i've argued that driving tests should include skill tests + psychology tests where the driver scores points that allocate them into a certain class of license. Those who are skilled earn the right to use their mobile phone while driving (for example the test is to drive in some kind of challenging way while reading on a mobile phone and then sitting a test on what was presented on the phone -- or something similar), can eat while driving, can drive 20% faster than legal limit etc. Those who are not skilled may not. This gets recorded on a persons license so if the police pull them over they show their skilled license and alls well. one might fail at the mobile test but pass the eating test for example.

it's ridiculous atm, i should not have to drive with the same restrictions as a 78 year old lady.

I can somewhat agree on speed limits on highways(etc) but no one should be using a phone while driving. Eating should be fine as you can do that and not take your eyes off the road...

Um yeah no one should be using a phone while driving you can eat while looking at the road no one should be texting and driving, talkings fine if you're using hands free but obv not holding the phone to your ear

Just heard that David Leyonhjelm is planning to quit federal politics so he can be involved in the NSW state election. Is this bad news for online poker in Australia? I have been trying to follow on as much as I can and it was my understanding the Leyonhjelm is integral to our cause. In the article I read he is planning on resigning as soon as next month.

i know its pretty funny, and yes our government/political system takes the piss out of all the citizens barring a few. And laws like these seem to crop up unopposed then become a social norm after 5 or so years. and all our government does is stab their own party in the backs all the time? if you have the time Google some cliffs of how many prime minister's we have gone through in the last 10 years and the reasons why we have !!!! is atrocious . it is almost like we are becoming the stereotypical country you see portrayed in the simpsons
