She'll need to open a new account with an overseas address. I don't think it matters which bank is used to deposit as long as the account is not based in nor operated from Australia.

other option would be to do trades on 2p2 etc get people to send u wires for pokerstars money

but be careful when doing these trades

you wont be able to play pokerstars from australian ip address

skrill ****s you massively. I lost a lot of money on a cashout once.

The options stars have left us with are just not acceptable. Not everyone will have skrill/net, they said they would refuse to let me cash out to my UK bank (even though it has been used previously for this account). I have doubts that Aus banks have started refusing payments yet either, since they're not breaking any laws.

We still have wire transfer as an option (according to support response) I have no idea how this differs to a direct bank transfer but there's also a $50k minimum for that kind of transfer.

I can only assume stars will get in trouble with UK regulators etc if they do not find suitable ways of getting money to Australian players.

Due to processor's changes Direct Bank Transfers can only be send to bank accounts located in the same country registered into your Stars account, if you were able to use your bank UK bank account from Australia that was several years ago and now that is no longer possible.

Direct Bank Transfer is a local transfer and Wire Transfer is an international transfer, that is the main difference.

At the moment the minimum to withdraw through the Wire option remains the same, if the minimum is lowered we will notify you about it.

Unfortunately due to these changes in your country if you balance is not enough for a Wire withdrawal, you will need to set up an account with NETELLER or Skrill to withdraw your funds.

We are really sorry for this situation, unfortunately it is out of our control, we hope you understand and we appreciate your cooperation.

i find this really strange tbh, doesn't make that much sense

I think it's likely to be an envoy services policy but as you said, it doesn't make much sense.
Be good if PokerStars could give an explanation behind the envoy services policy change. Surely they have given PokerStars some kind of explanation? And why the **** are they blocking PokerStars withdrawals.

Processors do not allow to send Direct Bank Transfer withdrawals to a country different than the one registered into your Stars account, that is why it is not possible.

Also we have just confirmed that Wire withdrawals are no longer available in your country, therefore you would need to use Skrill or NETELLER to withdraw your funds.


So now can only use net/skrill

As I understand if you have used Australian debit/credit card to deposit then you should be fine to withdraw your funds to Oz account?

I guess now my question has been rendered obsolete. If I might have been able to withdraw to an AUS bank acct with an overseas address and account, I definitely won't be able to now after this latest change.

I also attempted a withdrawal on sunday and was supposed to receive my funds yesterday but I received the same email. I guess our only option now is neteller, which is pretty annoying. I've now got to create an account and go through the lengthy verification processes which is probably going to take a week or so leaving me with only a few bucks for the next week or so.

Hoping someone gets some more info about this.

Stars are claiming they have taken the action off their side of things and will not manually do it due to "Laws" but I withdraw some about a month ago, through DBT. I threw a couple of options at them and they shut me down.

So I guess it's netteller time.....

Whats the best option between netteller and skrill? And how much money should I expect to lose and is it a one time transaction fee or a base rate for withdrawal?
