I think Hard Rock may be interested in the resort only if the price is right.

Sad news. Gonna miss my rolled up aces over kings and check-raising stupid tourists and taking huge pots off of them

Nothing like sitting with the scumbags, telling jokes, and dragging the occasional pot.

No one in their right mind would buy that dump. It's old news a/c is on its last legs

If Revel that cost 3 Billion sold for 80 million and that was a new structure what makes you think this old firetrap will sell for anything?

Someone in this thread said it perfectly. AC is done.

I never told anybody this, about eight nine months ago, I'm at the Taj it's late and I see Johnny Chan walk in and he goes and sits in the three hundred six hundred section and the whole place stops and everybody puts an eye on him, after a while there wasn't a crap going on because all the high rollers are over there watching and some of them playing but they're giving their money to him and say "oh", I played with the world champion".

Miss the patrons most of all...

All the luck in the world isn't gonna change things for these guys.

They're simply overmatched.

We're not playing together, but then again, we're not playing against each other either.

It's like the Nature Channel. You don't see piranhas eating each other, do you?

They wear their tells like signs around their necks.

Facial tics, nervous fingers.

A hand over a mouth.

The way a cigarette is smoked.

Little unconscious gestures that reveal the cards in their hands.

We catch everything.

If a fish acts strong, he's bluffing.

If he acts meek, he's got a hand. It's that simple.

God damnit. This is so sad.... because really the truth is, I can always find games though; easy games, tough games, straight games, crooked games, home games. I can turn this truck onto the turnpike and be at the Taj in two hours

interesting that now borgata makes ~2/3rd of their income from slots since when they first opened they tried to keep those people out of the casino

Heres a workaround - just walk 4 blocks west from anywhere on the boardwalk

I have been there regularly since they opened and never saw anything to support this. Why in the name of Moses would you prevent your best source of income from playing?

I am sure the Nugget does too. They will get all the locals from the boardwalk and the B will cater to the destination people. Outside of this I don't see many others surviving. Even the Trop will suffer as time goes on.

The jitney didn't go there when they first opened, buses (typically taken by older people who would play the slots) didn't go there, and they never had any slot promotions.
