I hate people who can't play in an honest way and keep lying to other people. I hope they fail at everything they do and end in jail and credits to Nat, Josem etc for doing this investigation. They are very smart kids and should get rewarded.

excellent detective work. I will mention it and post a link on my blog to this thread. Youve already garnered attn from two people who work for PokerNews and will be covering the WSOP (Dr Pauly and Short Stacked Shamus)

Bluff did have a little blurb on this in the May 2008 issue pg 106 under Virtual Felt: Gossip & LIfestyles.

I replied to a promotional email UB sent me today
I got this response

Quote:
Dear Mr. XXXXX,

Thank you for contacting us.

UltimateBet.com is not set up to help or not help the players to win a particular hand. Our business does not depend on players winning or losing, since we rent the tables for customers to play against each other and not against the house.

Online poker is very fast paced. A typical online holdem table sees 60-80 hands per hour. This is about twice as fast as real-world dealing. This means that the odds are completely different from live poker tables. If you play two tables at once, it is four times as fast. Therefore, you should expect that good hands will get sucked out on two (or four) times as often, per hour, as in the offline world.

Please bear in mind that even though poker is a game of skill, it is also a game of chance. Strategy is a very important part in poker, however luck is also a very important factor too.

Also, a third party audits our system. The company that ensures the fairness at our site is called Kahnawake Gaming Commission. You can find more information at this link: (http://www.kahnawake.com/gamingcommission).

Their integrity and concern for the consumer are just two of the reasons eWorld chose to work with them. If you have any questions or concerns regarding eWorld, or other sites regulated by Kahnawake, please feel free to contact them directly at:

btw, regarding BarryG's comments and the ESPN accusations, it should be noted that I went on Phil Gordon's podcast in November specifically to talk about the AP scandal.

Bumping back up, because I somehow doubt you'll get any straight answers at that phone number.

The irony in this statement is epic....

“Given Kahnawá:ke’s long-standing reputation as the world leader in Internet regulatory compliance and enforcement, it is disheartening to receive word that the Kahnawá:ke Mohawk Territory’s efforts will not be afforded the same consideration that has been extended to Tasmania, which has no such history,” said Chief Delisle.

“Despite having been the first jurisdiction to accept and implement the world-recognized eCOGRA standard, the implementation of a mandatory continuous compliance policy, and our consistent enforcement of what may very well be the world’s most stringent due diligence program, our name has not been added to the U.K.’s exclusive white list,” he continued.

Hello all-

First of all, fantastic job by Cornell Fiji for assembling this summary. I've been a long-time lurker at 2+2, but the combination of the Absolute Poker and Ultimate Bet scandals have finally gotten me to register as a poster.

Secondly, I have taken the content of the original thread and compiled it into a printer-friendly PDF. Should you folks need something to pass around at the upcoming WSOP, perhaps it could be of use.

Of course, I'd like to allow Cornell the opportunity to review it before any distribution takes place. After all, I made some very "light edits" to the text (nothing that changes the substance of the summary). Also, there may be some suggestions of its organization -- such as moving the charts and graphs to an appendix.

Furthermore, some of you may have some suggestions as to how/where it could be posted. (e.g. can you upload a PDF to this forum?)

Anyway, I'm pretty excited about making my first post, and I hope a PDF version of Cornell's summary will be helpful to the cause.

You posted your story, so you must care whether people believe you. Stars has a spotless reputation, and you're making a very serious accusation. The least you could do is get the HH.

I received official word today from Sharon Wayne at Harrah's that I will not be allowed to purchase a booth at the Gaming Life Expo at the WSOP to sell the T-Shirts. She said their legal department won't allow it.

After reading this thread, how stupid are you for making this post? I hope Panoratech is a trojan horse or a worm program that will eat your bankroll for even playing on the AP or UB sites. If this seems a bit harsh, too bad. Those sites need to be boycotted from all 2+ 2 r's!

Having just made a thread on p5s calling for a suspension of UB advertising and ranking points, i received a warning and my thread was instanly deleted.
Obv corporate pressure with financial gain is far more value to P5S team, than the players it represents.

You ain't the first one they have done that too, trust me. P5's is biggest sellout to advertisers hands down. I got a phone call from PStars's security voicing their displeasure about a post I made there , and 5 minutes later after hanging up, I was banned from posting on P5's.

Is she marketing or Legal?

Have your/any lawyer call their legal dept to discuss directly. I wouldn't expect marketing to take your side over UB.

Or, sell 'other' T-shirts at booth, include Gold T-shirt as free giveaway, prize, mail-in rebate, you'll leave at hotel desk for them, whatevs.

I'm calling BS on this one.
Feel free to post whatever it was about on here. If you're going to back such accusations you should be prepared to back it up some.

I'm glad that UB/AP didn't try to pay 2+2 to delete these type of threads. (or didn't believe that it would work & feared incriminating themselves)
