Good afternoon,

First I want to apologize if this is the wrong section for this. But I'm reaching out to the poker community to understand if this has happened to you before.

Couple days ago I played the 40k Thursday Gladiator and finished 4th on partypoker. Today I signed up for the 150K Sunday Gladiator and was doing pretty good on my table.

Then while in a hand with a player, I was kicked out for 45mns. The hand was on the river and I had top pair, 2nd kicker. I went from being chips leader at the table to losing 35k and being blinded off because I was not able to get back in.

Then when I got back in, I got involved blinds on blinds with the same player again and once again was kicked out of the software for 25mns. I have taken pictures and proof that my internet was working perfectly fine and reached out to partypoker about this. I have not gotten an answer back from them.

Once I was able to go back in for the 3rd time, I rebuilt my chips stack to chips lead again on the same table and was kicked out for a final time. The weirdest thing is, I'm able to access the site and able to send 4 messages to partypoker but my tournament isn't even showing up anymore. And there's no sign that I even registered for it.

I know the tournament is still going because it started at 1pm Central time for me in Canada, but I feel like I'm being cheated here. So far, all I have gotten back from party poker is we've received your email and you will hear back from us in 24hours. Has this happened to anyone here? Is anyone currently playing the 150K GTD Sunday Gladiator at the moment? I just don't know what else to do and how to correct this.

Thank you. Once again, I understand I'm new here and this is my first post but I just didn't know where or who else to turn to for help on this.

Don't know about this particular tournament but I couldn't even get on party this evening. I looked on twitter and it seems a lot of people had the same problem, getting kicked off, not being able to get in ect.
Hope they get back to you asap.

They just refunded my buy in and no explanation or apology as to why I was kicked out of the tourney. I didn't even get a reply back from my messages I had sent out to them. WOW! Thanks a lot partypoker.

Hi myreve,

The latest Twitter communication from the official @partypoker account communicates that the site was experiencing "major connection issues," that at one point "all tournaments" had been "paused," and that affected online events which were subsequently "cancelled" will be "settled" in accordance with partypoker's Refund Policy.

---

There were multiple instances of widespread "connection issues" that disrupted the real money operations of major poker sites back in 2018.

In all instances, I believe it took at the very least hours for those sites to coordinate and distribute official information. Such disruptions burden human resources and require urgent solutions, and from experience we know that it may indeed take days for x-poker site to sort/distribute the real money funds of players who were affected.

My suggestion would be for those players to patiently await a direct resolution, solicit/monitor related communications with partypoker as well as the site's official communication channels, and accept that there may be unavoidable, temporary inconveniences associated with the disconnection issues that occurred today on partypoker.

I am not speaking on behalf of the site or anyone else, just posting this after having kept up with the widespread poker site disconnection issues a year ago.

As some readers already know, partypoker's Rob Yong has publicly criticized the boards here, but regardless 2+2 readers -- many of whom play at partypoker -- could be affected by today's issues, and (imo) it's in the community's best interest to relay official communication to reduce the risk of misinformation, or one topic becoming needlessly intertwined with others.

No worries about that on my end. I'm unsure if this topic is more suited for NVG, or should be added to the current discussion taking place in the unofficial Internet Poker Forum thread, or if the topic merits cross-over threads for now. Mods will know.

All the best to you and hope players' needs associated with today's partypoker disconnection issues get sorted out as soon as possible.
