Hi myreve,
The latest Twitter communication from the official
@partypoker account communicates that the site was experiencing "major connection issues," that at one point "all tournaments" had been "paused," and that affected online events which were subsequently "cancelled" will be "settled" in accordance with
partypoker's Refund Policy.
---
There were multiple instances of widespread "connection issues" that disrupted the real money operations of major poker sites back in 2018.
In all instances, I believe it took at the very least
hours for those sites to coordinate and distribute official information. Such disruptions burden human resources and require urgent solutions, and from experience we know that it may indeed take
days for x-poker site to sort/distribute the real money funds of players who were affected.
My suggestion would be for those players to patiently await a direct resolution, solicit/monitor related communications with partypoker as well as the site's official communication channels, and accept that there may be
unavoidable,
temporary inconveniences associated with the disconnection issues that occurred today on partypoker.
I am not speaking on behalf of the site or anyone else, just posting this after having kept up with the widespread poker site disconnection issues a year ago.
As some readers already know, partypoker's Rob Yong has publicly criticized the boards here, but regardless 2+2 readers -- many of whom play at partypoker -- could be affected by today's issues, and (imo) it's in the community's best interest to relay official communication to reduce the risk of misinformation, or one topic becoming needlessly intertwined with others.
