SugarHouse Casino Fined $32,500 for Polk/Kaufman "10 Card Stud" Hand

The $30,000 + $2,500 fine was approved about an hour ago.

Timestamp: 1:20:40 to 1:25:50

NEW TIMESTAMPS 1:15:00 to 1:20:10 (mod edit from post #28 below)

According to the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) Office of Enforcement Counsel, the dealer was instructed by two on-site supervisors to deal the hand. The dealers have since been disciplined (warnings), and the two supervisors have subsequently resigned and are no longer employed in the Pennsylvania gaming industry.

Here is the video clip being referred to in the meeting.

I feel bad for earl (one of the supervisors) he was a nice guy, I guess the mistake led to his resignation..

edit: I don't see earl, I do know he got fired I guess it was for something else

Because it is a casino which is a REGULATED gaming operator..... and it dealt what likely is not an approved game ?

(Just guessing because I do not practice gaming law in Pa.)

This baffles me on 2 levels:
1) That someone found it on YT, it required watching 1:20 of this snoozefest and.
2) That there are people whose literal job is to go over "incidents" like these, analyzing the **** out of a 6-minute thing that happened 2 years ago

Re: SugarHouse Casino Fined $32,500 for Polk/Kaufman "10 Card Stud" Hand

Actually the only problem is that nowadays people cant just enjoy **** anymore without instantly feeling the need to record it on a phone. Probably because it ... (my English is not good enough for this kind of grammar right now) ... "...wouldnt have happened then"? ... Nah, that must be wrong, because it hasnt actually happened at that point in time... *confused* Is it even possible to say this in this way?
How do you correctly finish this sentence when you want to add the "didnt happen"-part of the good old "Pics or it didnt happen" to it?

Thanks in advance to anyone who can find the time!

The real tragedy here is 2 guys are out of a job because these rich degenerates pressured those involved to break the law.

I bet the players haven't even apologized to those harmed by this, sad!

So, the only way to get gaming to look at the private games at Aria is to get video evidence of the shadiness.

If they didn't enforce this rule, think about all the other rules they wouldn't enforce. I have no interest in libertarian anarchy.

For sure. In no time people would be cutting holes in decks of cards and ****ing them on the dealer tables because who could stop them in a libertarian anarchy that allows people to flip?

They could have chosen to do a flip in an approved game.

Canít wait to see the Polk video on this. At least he wonít need to do 3-8 min between each card.

Lol that Kaufman did not not even understand the game before he agreed to it, heís so tilting. Have only seen him on PNiA but heís a walking ATM.

Feel bad for people getting fired but understand that unauthorized ad-hoc games are a recipe for trouble.

Just want to say that Im sorry my actions got the casino fined, but more importantly that people potentially lost their jobs over this matter. Im not sure how I was supposed to know not to do this, no one said anything to me and it wasnt like we were doing it in secret. I just thought it would be a fun thing to stream that people on my channel would like seeing. Especially coming from Las Vegas where flips are completely acceptable, I didnt really think that it could cause any issues. Once again I apologize that my actions caused harm to others, even if it was inadvertently.

If it pleases the crown, may we engage in a random flip for our own money?

Do we accept this apology 2p2 for Dan's grievous actions??? My pitchfork is perpetually sharp and at the ready!!!

For real though nothing you did wrong. This is the just the GCB wetting their beaks and flexing their muscle. "Respect my authoritie!"

I'm pretty sure it's the responsibility of those actually licensed by the gaming commission to know what is legal and not legal.

It sucks that people are losing their jobs, but pointing a finger at the customers seems silly.
