My friend who taught me how to play in college went pro in 2005 with a 10K bankroll (that he acquired after a very hot 14 day trip to vegas) playing live 2/5 NL - and he was shot taking at 5/10. He lasted 2.5 years on it - no lie.
I don't know if anyone will see this but to all of you that actually gave meaningful advice, I want to thank you truly! I ended up taking the boring job while still playing poker online for 3-4 hours then realized I hated that job and now I have a job as a software engineer which I love.
Turns out my problem was what I was doing didn't suit me and since poker was fun I believed it would be my way out.
I still play poker constantly and enjoy it a lot but having to do for making a living would have been a bad road to take.
So thank you for your advice you really did help a lot
