Read the article and totally confused as to why she only got a $5000 bond. She stole upwards of over $60,000 in cash and valuables. Very low bond in my opinion.

I'd be interested to know what percentage of middle-aged guys who get ripped off by a casino hooker actually report it. This guy probably wasn't married with kids. If he was the story would have been that he had too much to drink and lost his watch.

Paris, 30, accompanied the man to his hotel room. She gave him a massage, told him to take off his pants and they got in bed, a police report said.

They kissed, then Paris told the man her chest hurt. She headed to the bathroom.

While he was still in bed, the man heard the hotel room door open and close.

He got up to find himself alone, and discovered $10,000 in cash, $6,100 in poker chips and his $50,000 Patek Philippe watch were all gone, the report said.

Video surveillance recorded Paris leaving the hotel room and running to the elevators, through the casino and into the parking garage to a red car, police said.

Seminole police traced the car’s Texas tag to an auto rental company , which had good news for detectives: The car was equipped with a GPS device.

Police found it about four miles east of the casino at a Days Inn Motel at 2601 N. 29th Avenue in Hollywood, where Paris was arrested.

Apparently, not.

Bond generally is set to secure the charged party's presence for the next step. ((Not sure what Florida practices are)

Apparently, bond not too low as to amount, she didn't raise it

Bond is based on the ability to pay and what is necessary to make the person show up for court. Seriousness of the crime plays a role but mostly if there was death or violence.
