First of all you are assuming Eli is a winning player. In the games he is playing he may be he may not be. But I see that as irrelevant. If somebody owes me money and I see them playing poker or spending money in any way I see it as them spending my money. If he treats his poker game as income generating thatís fine but he shouldnít be using money that he could be using to pay back his debts. That being said obviously certain people donít make paying debts a high priority and itís obvious this is the case here. If it wasnít we wouldnít be having this conversation....

Perhaps not, but it may gross something, would show good his intentions, and, the arrangement could be extended by further agreement to a % of any tournament cashes in Nevada.

Not a bad mechanism for any sort of staking arrangement for the WSOP either.

Obviously borrowing from institutions with fees, interest and contractual terms is different from borrowing 100k from CTS under the assumption it will be paid back asap.

There was no room for misunderstanding on your debt. It was an extremely simple spot where you borrowed $100k from me, slowly paid back $60k, and then eventually stopped responding to messages from me. You never disputed any of this as the text message I shared in the last thread showed (which was ~18 months after Full Tilt went down, this has nothing to do with Full Tilt).

I kept this "arrangement" private for ten years until you decided to run a PR campaign about how you've always paid your debts. You've ignored messages from me for the past 5 years, and are now implying there is something more to this situation (there isn't) so forgive me if I'm not interested in now all of a sudden interested in discussing this privately.
I just left you a voice message on your cell phone, Cole. If you really want to talk, call me back. I think you'll like what I have to say to you.

Re: A STATEMENT FROM ELI ELEZRA

"When a poker player decides to lend another poker player money, they do so with the inherent risk that it might not be paid back."

This part of the statement is the worst, IMHO. It seems like justification or some lame excuse for not paying back your debts. It could definitely be, as they say in poker terms, a "tell".

Lol, people owe me 2 million, whenever I borrow money, they should keep it private and not tell anyone lol

However I didn’t want to move down stakes so I borrowed money, I won’t say how much or from who bc it’s No ones business

Indeed they do, but those loans are backed by collateral and the lender is always making a return (monthly + Interest). Stalled payments and failed communication would not make a bank happy.

lol you really think people you owe are supposed to make an effort to get in touch with you to get paid

this is obv ridiculous and you posting this says a lot about how you think debts should be handled.

it is not supposed to be easy for people to find you when you owe them, you should do anything to keep in touch with them in order to pay your debts.

Can I ask why you didn't want to play lower stakes when you couldn't afford high stakes, isn't that what degenerate gamblers usually do?

Re: A STATEMENT FROM ELI ELEZRA

If what Eli says is true then why would anyone ever lend a poker player any money under any circumstances in any situation ever?

Money probably separates more people, friends and family than most anything else. Many years ago, I started trying to live by the saying, "Neither a borrower or lender be," when it comes to money and people.

I think we all have heard at least some of your **** from our debtors and that is crazy. Posting this stuff in public and thinking it makes you look good without swiftly paying what you apparently undisputedly owe is

Yes? Are you also going to point out that mortgages run longer than 10 years? I didn't think i'd have to specify the difference between a swift loan from a "friend" vs. a contractual one from an institution.

I don't understand why you'd be loaning out money ($2 million?!) while not repaying the debts you owe. Please explain.
