Imagine the nerve to owe tons of people $1M+, including $853k to one person who you threaten if he goes public, then come on here and claim you always pay your debts.

this is really scummy logic. If I ever was loaned money I would go grab it right after the game is over. These guys actually let these debts go for more than a couple days? so insane. Especially the CTS one since it was during the full tilt train. Eli could have gone to his box probably and paid ct.

Pretty sure you're joking but before anybody jumps on this, Abe has already posted that this was not due to a staking arrangement but was a loan.

I'm not understanding why you thought Eli was a good person. Regardless of threats, he steals from many people and then lies about it constantly. This has been a way of life for him for many years. Sure he is a gambling addict but that doesn't preclude him from being a bad person. You think he's a good person because he's a friendly guy and a loving husband (assuming he is)? The same could be said of many murderers and other criminal deviants. If your actions don't dictate whether you are good/bad then I'm not sure what does.

Eli, this isn't a get out of jail free card. You owe Abe that money and damn sure better make this right.

Abe is 44 years old. Old people like him don't know how to use a computer. He came from a time when everyone used typewriters and word processor machines.

At no time in the past was I staked or staked anyone else.

Maybe he didn’t have the money. No one will ever really know. I can see how during the boom money was moving around daily, but you still owe what you owe.

Think of how much money has not been paid back and stolen with loans/staking and poker sites going under and robbing players. It has to be a HUGE amount. Even more reason why you should never loan money or trust a site.

not sure I ever said or even alluded to him being a good person. All I knew about him was what I saw on HSP, and what came out after the AMA disaster.

Not paying people back, and lying about in the world of high stakes poker is horrible but I wasnt sure should define the entirety of a mans life, is what I thought I said. Gambling addiction is cureable disease and should not entirely define a person

If you view people as good or bad, I don't see how you can see Eli as anything other than a bad person, regardless of the threats he made. Also, given the poor character he has shown in not paying back his debts and lying about many different things I'm not sure why it would surprise you that Eli made threats.

Just want to say thank you to Cts and AbeandLeesa for bringing this to light. You are doing the right thing.

The problem with pw was he knew so much and wasn't afraid to tell anyone. It was all speculation, tho. Letting someone run amok like that causes more problems than it solves when no one has any idea who is writing it and nothing can be substantiated.
