thread cliffs abe doesnt give a **** about the money eli owes him since its from 9 years ago and eli has been a known scammer for a long time. he let someone who thought he was funny use his 2p2 account to troll eli/the thread. whoever that was is borderline ******ed. here we are 1300 posts later.

He unfortunately did not get back to me by phone which would have allowed me to be sure that the response came from him. But there was a text response from his number. That text said that it was not him that was posting those last few days and that he was pretty much done with getting personally involved. The text said that I could delete the account if I wanted to but he didn't comment on what had been posted recently or even if he knew what had been posted.

I chose not to pursue it since I hadn't gotten an actual phone call.

There are several possible theories that might explain these weird goings on but it no longer interests me. My only concern at this point is that no one thinks that twoplustwo is a party to any of this. Not only should no one believe that they should also note that the one thing that Eli and Abe agree on is that Mason is a wonderful person.

Thanks for trying, David.

As a follow-up question: Do you and/or Mat feel like Abe owed you more? I ask because after the time you devoted to verifying his identify, vouching for this, banning false Abe accounts, and confirming that a sizable debt was indeed owed, it seems as though Abe should at least have the common courtesy of returning a simple phone call to explain a little more to you.

I've never heard of Josh Brockman and I doubt anyone else has either.

The thread is not completely dead...we are still waiting on Cole South on whether Eli had come through with whatever was said during that last phone call.

I agree, but he may not want to dig a bigger hole for himself...

A couple of posters had postulated the theory, that Abe has said too much and is backtracking now. To me, his decision to not call back adds credibility to this.

At this point, this seems to be the likely reality - but, who knows for sure.

The PI angle is obviously completely bogus - just impossible.

If Cole South doesn’t ever respond back, then we can assume Eli has done good with him.

This is common sense. Most of us in the gambling business wheather it’s booking, running a poker game or lending to keep a game going are not going to risk incarceration via a violent collection agent. The only means we have to police our industry is to “ out “ the person .
ELIE u are a piece of **** and a degenerate. Get help or it gets worse. I don’t remember many lines from poker books, but I think it was the great Dr Allen Schoonmaker who coined the phrase

“ THE GAMBLING INDUSTRY IS BASED ON DENIAL”

Next, this whole situation reminds me of something similar that happened to me. Back in the early 2000's I was playing in a prelim event in the Aruba Classic with a "semi-famous" pro. We had a good time and he then asked me if I could loan him 10k for 1 day. Knowing his name (and not knowing better) I said sure.

The next day, I see him playing in a cash game and walk over to ask for my money - he says "yeah, sorry I need some more time" and basically ignores me. A guy that I had played with in live tourneys (and seemed to know everyone) walks over and whispers in his ear - he looks startled gets up, comes back 5 minutes later and hands me my 10k.

Background, in those days I was a prosecutor and often used my badge as a card protector (tacky, I know). Anyway, I went up to the "whisperer" and asked him what did you say to him. He responded I just said "It's pretty stupid to try to steal from a guy with a badge". I laughed and bought him dinner.

Prior to that I assumed that there was some kind of "poker player's code" regarding borrowing money. Of course, I never lent money to a poker player again.
Why are u protecting the thief’s name ? Not all of us have a badge.

When I first read his story I thought “sounds like chino,” but I’m not sure how active he was in 2000.

Well, he was 19 in 2000 so it's pretty unlikely

Ill only post once cause as usual it will get deleted/banned.

Its sad that Im not allowed to offer my services on here to people who are owed money. I successfully collected nearly 200 thousand dollars in 2018 for people who are known in the poker world. I do not use violence AT ALL in my methods but they are effective. I will not outline the methods on here as the mods just get rid of it.

For those who don't believe me, I was interviewed on Joey Ingrams Podcast and Pokerfraudalert podcast about how I do what I do and 2 well known players verified to pokerfraud I have collected for them.

Its kind of ridiculous people who owe hundreds of thousands can walk around with no consequences while someone like me who can recover this money is shunned off forums. Backwards world.

Anyways, just wanted to throw my 2 cents in, delete away mods

It's kind of ridiculous that you went about this in the most asinine, overly-convoluted way possible.

Put it this way. Chino's first recorded cash is in 2004 in a $75 comp.
What are you going to pin on him next? The Great Train Robbery?

if you had a blip of intelligence you would see its not convoluted at all. But that's ok, if you don't owe money or are owed, you are very irrelevant in my world

Lol dude why are you so quick to defend scammers and conmen?

I wasn’t trying to pin anything on him, I was just stating that was who my immediate thought was while I was reading the guys story. And I even said probably not him in my op. Move on now bro.

Book is tanking on Kindle. They need to drop it to $9.95 and hope they can pick up a few $100.

Is it tanking because of this thread? I have no doubt it has some impact, but would sales have been literally tens or hundreds of times better?

The opening line in the description:

What does it take to become a top poker player who regularly plays in some of the largest stakes games offered in the Las Vegas Poker Rooms and elsewhere?

The answer is, borrow money and don't pay it back.

I disagree. Cole is a class act and the only reason he posted was to set the record straight. Not to shame per se. That’s my opinion obviously. He set the record straight and with Eli confirming he doesn’t pay his debts, there no reason for Cole to discuss it more in public.

I can see him coming online and posting if and when it’s paid. So, I think perhaps the opposite can be inferred if anything at all can be inferred over time.
