Cliffs from the interview in Czech:

-Even though he was winning much more than was his salary, did not leave the work and woke up each morning. Decided to leave after shipping tourney in France for 900 000CZK
-Won 1st price in Czech academic(?) dart throwing championship
-Is single, at least had time to play
-Is afraid he is not gonna be able to recognize gold digger
-His parents do his laundry
-Has 15 years old Honda car and small apartment
-Says that he does not need new car or house when he is by himself; will probably get these when he gets family
-Played poker up to 15hours a day
-Thinks he could be much better in chess, but did not put the time into it because it was not very lucrative
-Is happy he does not have to wake up at 6AM each morning
-Is going to stay in the Trinec (small city he comes from)

I thought he played great yesterday.

let's face it though, 35 year old autistic blokes who get their washing done by their mums go one of two ways with that much sudden cash

- marry the widest bottomed local washer woman and breed for the rest of his life
- buy a red sports car and a kilo of coke and grind hot Czech b*tches til the $$ run dry

I dont think he is autistic. Or if he is, very mild version of autism. He is personal, maybe even a bit strange but not too awkward in social situations. He is super smart for sure, and seems down to earth. So if I had to pick from those I bet the number 1 is going to happen (Although I dont Martin is going to find a third option). I dont see him ever doing number 2 with the h*okers (pun intended). Hope he finds a nice girl who is not a gold digger and lives happily ever after.

I doubt he is autistic, he is just a humble mellow guy who loves to play poker and sticks to his roots despite winning millions of dollars. Gotta respect that no matter what

I really respect him and I wish he'd won - Heinz is a cool player but Staszo would have been a better winner for the development of poker imho.

+1 I stayed up watching the ME and started to dooze off around 2 and a half hours in and Staszko had around a 65- 35% chip lead and figured he was gonna win it so I passed out only to hear Heinz ended up winning

Def wanted Staszko to win though no disrespect to Heinz but he is just another young hyper aggro player to win the ME.

Both players would have been worthy winners, but it is a pity Staszko didn't win. He seems like a really nice guy, and it is the perfect 'hollywood' story - man who was working in a factory, dedicates time to playing poker and changes his life for the better etc etc.

staszko seems to be a very likeable guy, very good charma. I am fan of this guy and I hope its not his first time getting so deep at the wsop. gl buddy. well played !

Staszko is not boring he just study his opponents all the time and another think is his english.He is not there to entertainments people he is there to bring first wsop bracelet to Czech Republic.

He said before the final table on Czech forum hes got a fever thats why he went to his hotel room to sleep.

When he flopped a str8 with 67 (or 78) as well as when he flopped Aces and 9's, he shook his head like he was exasperated both times. Live tells are overrated and overvalued by live/tourney donks imo (example: Eddtown) but this was a clear one.

What was the song his rail was singing? It sounded like "martin statsko...all in!" it's stuck in my head and I'm not sure that's what they were saying
