Presumably all poker players, was on Joeys podcast etc. This is a lesson learned for everyone, chicagoJoey esp, obviously he did nothing to help SRP on purpose, but when your a known/respected figure in this community everyone around u, especially being featured on your podcast, is going to have their status much more elevated then maybe it should be.

And no need to get on at Alexo. Guy already knows he messed up. Props to him for outing SRP, people making fun of him aren't going to help others come out about these issues if they are going to get abused.

I also got the impression Joe and SRP were good friends and thought Joe knew the screennames he plays mid - highstakes PLO.

I agree with this and its something I tend to be aware of. SRP has been around now for about a year and I never would have ever thought anyone from HSPLO would stake/loan/give him money after reading his posts here, on twitter and listening to him so it was something I wasn't worried about happening. Outside of when I first knew him, he hasn't ever tried to ask me for money and no one else has from the community has came to me to saying he asked them as well. It seemed like everyone I talked to realized he probably didn't play high stakes

Joe, are you upset because you lost a friend and good people have been scammed, or because you feel some guilt for what happened? If the latter, dude, I really don't think you should be held at all accountable for the actions of some guy that appeared on your livestreams from time to time. While listening to the podcasts, I often suspected there was something wrong with this SRP character. There's something mentally wrong with people who troll to that extent. They gain pleasure through deceiving, and manipulating people, it brings them great enjoyment. While on the podcasts he would always say pointless lies; like, claiming he's buying a ticket to Thailand for him and joey, then when asked if he bought the tickets, he would shrug it off. The type of person who just spews nonsensical lies, all the time. I would not be surprised if he has a long history of manipulating, and leaching off people who care about him.

Ya, I heard the podcast one week when I was bored and this fellow was whinging about not complaining enough, not getting into character, not being 'on' it was truly bizarre.

My question is if Joey knew this guy owed his deceased friend money and he himself was owed money from StarRegProblems, why have him on the podcast? Why give him any platform?

I've returned $40k to the forums this year running multiple package without a single complaint or issue but sure take my marketplace away on an account I haven't used in years.
