Customers should never roll over and just accept price increases (which effectively is what the revised pokerstars system is) - they should at least let their voices be heard. No one got anywhere by being mice who just accepted everything that is thrown at them.
It's more like the steak costs 2500 but you were winning 4000 a pop in bread-eating contests so you never really really contemplated why on earth the steak costs 2500 to begin with. Sure, it tastes excellent and the dining hall is exquisite and the service is spectacular but goddamn.

It's interesting that people still think Stars at all can have moral appeals made to them, as if ownership cares.

Stars is going to squeeze you as much as they can, they DGAF about any arguments against this.

The people in charge of Stars are literally trying to suck all the money out of the player pool available and then they're selling the company, they couldn't care less about long term effects of their behavior.

News today that PokerStars will NOT be offering its (award winning) Stars Rewards scheme in the Sweden market once it migrates that customer base over. Just goes to show how quickly lawmakers/regulators are becoming aware of these mechanisms and how predatory they are against all consumers.

I haven't seen any sort of notification for the Christmas promotion going on within the client. Are they excluding players they've assigned low "player social credit" to?

Anyone noticing chests are not being downgraded? I don't play on stars so much. Opened a 4,500 chest last week then opened another 4,500 today, yet my next one is another 4,500 and not a lower chest as advertised on the website. Ive emailed for clarification on this.

Not seeing it either. The only challenge appearing in the window is to play to the high roller tournaments which I don't go near. Nothing close to what they offered in previous years.

Saying that I dont see anything on party either.

They definitely do have something going on but seemingly it is only for "invited" players.

Had a downswing, 5 days ago I deposited some and my chests became very reasonable (platin 10500)
Now, 5 days later, platin changed to 95000(!!!), pretty ridiculous

so depositing doesn't help much at all, only losing seems to do the trick

My experience confirms this too.

A silver lining of this implicit cashback on losses is that it reduces the variance slightly, and of course, that it keeps unlucky folks a bit more motivated to try again.

Anyone else opening empty chests? When I open my chests only the green bar fills up a bit. No cash, no tmoney, no starscoins.

Yes, it's a known animation bug that's over a month old. In reality, Starscoins are credited as usual, afaik.

Did your coin balance increase according to the My Stars tab? That's also the place where you can open an earned chest if it's not accessible through the progress bar.

Anyone got three keys yet for the christmas challenge? I only have 1 so far.

I've earned chests every day this month and got 3 keys on the 4th, 7th and 10th, iirc.

Do you have to opt in, or what? I've been playing every day, but didn't get anything so far.

The Christmas promotion is invitational. If you have it at all in the Challenges window, then yes, you need to click 'Start'. Otherwise, you haven't been invited.

Be interesting to see what is in the major one you open with the three keys on christmas day. I'm not expecting much.

By the way are you guys winning, bust even or losing players?

I didn't get an invite and had my red chest double and it makes it near impossible for me to ever move up and get a blue chest unless I went up in stakes as I don't put in any volume by hard core players standards.

I'd been inactive for a few months before my late November return, hadn't won much since the spring, had had to withdraw most of the roll in late May. Perhaps a bonus factor towards my reputation as a rec was that I'd been a Spin & Go Max semi-reg since the 2nd day of the game's existence, with hyperaggressive BRM (and getting ~20% rakeback during my losing months).

Anyone else get an email about a Christmas Cracker promotion? Deposit $70 and you get a cracker. I want to know what is in these crackers.

I didn't get an email (iirc), but my bonus section shows a Cracker offer of a random prize up to $20K for a $200 deposit. So the cracker content is random. The previous offer also required a $200 deposit two months ago, to get $50 worth of Spin & Go(al) tickets.

The offer size likely depends on the history of deposit sizes, just like at 888.

"So the cracker content is random."

I mean there's gotta be some sort of probability etc. to it.

OK guys. After all the crap I went thru after my silver chests were raised from 1950 to 13500 and I had them manually downgrade me to red, I worked my way back to silver and its 1950 again.

Hope it lasts. The Christmas chests have been very good. Got $6 a couple of times after completing blue chests (450) and $30 from my first silver (1950)!

If your at one of the upper levels you might consider asking them to move you down manually. No guarantee, but maybe it will lower your requirements???
