PokerStars confirms new rewards program: Chests - Page 84 - PokerStars: General discussion -- Two Plus Two Poker Forums

The layout has changed, when I didn't see the Rewards Store in the Cashier I thought they'd just done away with it. Found it now although I'd have just given up if it wasn't for your post.

It was the initial money grab when they devalued my points over a year ago why I gave up on Stars. Haven't played there much except for the odd MTT.

Thanks for the quick response, haven't enough Stars for a Hoodie now even though I had more than enough when I last checked the Store.

You know, chests mighn't be a bad idea if they liven up the prizes a little.

Throw in hoodies like the dude was asking about above, usb drives, shopping vouchers, tourney tokens, and all the other stuff they have in the VIP store. Make people excited about opening chests. It'll be good for the game. People will like to be grinding away earning the next chest, if 95% of the time it isn't 7 stars coins.

I started off really well getting a great price on gold and platinum chests. Think I started with platinums at 7500/Gold 3600/Silver 1600 with about 40% boost and they've been slowly rolling that back month by month, now I'm at ****ing brown chests for 1400 with a 215 boost... and I'm not even ****ing winning.

same lol i was on a fairly long heater and kept my big boost all the way. the minute i went on a downswing of -10bi they ****ed my boost rate

Does anybody think that stars will continue to raise prices by increasing rake in the future? feel like i get nothing from rakeback anymore, how much worse can it get you think?

In the near future you need to pay a monthly fee if your withdrawals are bigger than deposits.

Yes, because people are still winning at 6bb+/100. I think they will increase rake again next year at a minimum.

- Completely no rake back along with another rake hike.
- Charging winning players a % of their total monthly / yearly profit.
- Skimping more on R&D, software development.
- Laying off more support staff / out sourcing it to cheap labour countries.
- Cutting back on advertising sponsorship to recruit and retain new players.
- Spending less on lobbying / trying to promote legalisation in banned territories.

I mean I'm sure there's plenty more I haven't even thought of that they can do, which would not only increase their bottom line, but hurt players.

So my rakeback started off really well, I ran well with chests and ended up making about 43.2% in July. August was good too, 28% still better than SN. September it dropped down to 16.4% which was a bit ****ty but still playable and finally for August it's down to 8.7%. And the really ****ty thing is I'm not even winning.
