Just to tilt you some more, I'm not a reg and Stars offered me $40 for 500 points. I don't think I've ever raked $500 in a single month on Pokerstars. To me, this "challenge" feels they're trolling me.

Just got a 15k points for $1200 exclusive poker challenge ending Aug 31 even though Im net up for July and withdrew roll from stars.
Looks like I'll deposit back in to play.

Yeah, i think you're right on.

Without a good mobile like GGpoker, Stars is really limitting the number of casual players. I play pretty seriously but still like to play on mobile a bit when im out and about or chilling watching TV.

And no BTC is super annoying. Skrill/Netteller fees are so damn high to withdraw to bank.

The third key thing that GGpoker beats Stars is support. They actually replies to emails in a timely manner and has live chat that works.

Read the challenge better. If its the same others are getting then $1 = 5pts so you need to rake $100 to get the $40

Ok, my bad, but I have probably never raked $100+ in a month since 2009 lol

So, it seems I've forgotten how to play poker and am getting absolutely wrecked. Moved down to 16nl, then down to 10nl, then down to 5nl where I lost 20 BIs.

Got a new computer right before moving down to 5nl and was too tilted to reinstall database but I'd estimate I've donked off over 80BIs and put myself in a position where I might actually bust my account for the first time since depositing $500 in 2010.

The good news is my Gold chests went down to 5,000 and then down to 4,250 and my 4 gold chests so far have been $30 cash, $30 cash, 600sc, $30 cash + 2000sc.

It makes me think the chest payouts may not be totally random because they really seem to be looking out for me as my balance approaches zero.

I doubt they can do that. You got 6.5% 2 times, 40% and 2.5%. Nothing too abnormal, just a happy coincidence.

On the other hand my silver chests are 14,750 and last two gave me $1.8 and $3. And I'm punting stacks right and left...

the more i play on stars, the less i understand their rb system. i had next to nothing when i was breakeven or losing, now im crushing yet my rewards went up. plus i get another "exclusive" rb challenge as soon as the previous one ends.

What’s the best chest result you folks have had on stars? I’m just a micro tournament player but I was away for 2 weeks and logged back in to find a free entry into the special $110 milly event a few weeks ago, was pretty happy with that.

Can anyone figure out how the new Vault promotion work as in how much rake paid equals to how much progress?

I'm a casual player, never put in more than a few thousand hands per month at micros. Was breakeven/losing for a while, but recently I caught a heater and doubled my roll. My last blue chest was 400 points to open. The new one I just got requires 2,850 points.

Am I missing something here or does Stars expect me to pay $28.5 in rake to open a chest that will likely give me $0.6 worth of StarsCoins and a freeroll ticket? Right in the middle of the Vault promotion too so there's 0 chance I complete that, or even open a single vault chest for that matter.

Your chest points requirements * 3 = 3 * prizes of your chest level + vault prize of your chest level

For example, for me it would be:

3 * Silver chests at 14750 points = 3 * $10.50 + 17.5
$442.5 rake = $49 prize (11% rakeback)

This is excluding those low chance prizes and additional hours where you can earn points.

Maybe get some coaching from your boy 6bet.

How quickly did you clear it? This happens to me if I want to quickly clear a chest by upping stakes/tables/time played. The algo will calculate your new avg playing time and stakes, and adjust accordingly.
