DAT Poker Podcast host Adam Schwartz has informed on Twitter that poker player Brad Booth has been missing since July 13th, 2020.

What are the odds that he owes someone money, and has run away, now those he owes money to, are saying he is missing ..

Is this confirmed by the police?

Thought it was usually the police that advertise for missing persons.

I played with a Brad a couple times. Seemed chill and a nice dude...good player also. Hope he's ok. Maybe he went with some girl and decided to travel somehwere with her on a whim.

Going missing for that long after going camping is one bad sign. Nature/Exposure is dangerous, and going into nature for suicide is also a thing. Hope he pops up in good shape

Hoping for the best.

Played with him a couple times Wynn 5-10 pre covid. It’s an uncapped game and he is definitely as good as anyone I’ve seen deepstack live NL, despite all the hate he gets.

The guy clearly is a gambling addict (many of us are, including the most succesful individuals) and allegedly 25% of gambling addicts commit suicide at some point.

So when he says he's "going camping" (alone?) and goes missing for 3 weeks+, it's pretty unlikely he fell in love with someone he met in the woods. Hopefully he's alive, but this doesn't look good at all.

Severe mood disorders have a ~1/6 mortality rate. I don't know how that factors into the suicide rate for abusive gamblers, but it paints a picture of how rough gambling disease is.

Two weeks to a month is normal for a medical hold. Canada's a really big place. A logical explanation is he turned off his phone and is somewhere feeling sad.
