Stalling in online Tourneys near the bubble - Poker News

Here is the situation.

You bought in for $5000 in a given SCOOP event. You have been playing for several hours. The minimum cash is $12,500.

There are 20 people being paid, and 23 people still in the tourney; playing on 3 tables. There are 4 or 5 small stacks. This is a limit tourney and to play a hand to the river will basically put you all in....

Would you ....

A) Play at normal speed and let the chips fall as they may....

B) Take extra time using the allotted time bank when making decisions at this crucial stage of the tourney

The answer to me seems obvious although maybe I'm way off base here ....

They give you a 500 second time bank to use at any time during the tourney; are there rules regarding its use?

"There's no rule against it" is a terrible argument for doing something. What about the fact that you ruin the fun for the rest of the players excited about playing poker deep in a tournament?

You said in the other thread you don't stall in a live tourney. Is there a rule against doing it? Why don't you?

a lot of amateur players will not be deciding on wether to play the hand or not. they are simply using the time bank to waste time in hopes of other players will get knocked out before them

The people saying that stalling is a douchebag thing to do are so ******ed. Poker is about exploiting the stupid and weak of character for profit. I'm taking any edge that I can without cheating and anyone who doesn't is a fish.

1. Just because you can do something doesn't mean you should do it.

2. Stalling is -EV overall unless you are in some situation where you buy in for a tournament for your entire roll, which obv you shouldn't do.

3. I walked past you on the moving walkways outside of Mccarin tonight and by the time it dawned on me who you were I was to far past and was late to pick someone up. My bad yo.

Is it not +EV if you are a losing player in the lineup? If you would lose chips in the long run in that exact spot seems like the fewest hands/hour would be an advantage
Have no idea if Chainsaw would be or not in this particular spot
