Do a Yahoo search for "How to edit host file in windows 7".

Of course, you can enter your search engine or change your operating system, but the above should show you many examples on how to edit the host file. You need to be able to edit it, before you can make changes to it's contents.

Under Windows 7;

Computer
Local Drive C:
Windows
System32
drivers
etc

When you get to that folder, there is a file called; hosts

You use something like Wordpad to edit this file and enter what I posted above,

127.0.0.1 ads.nlop.com

then save the file. You are done.

What this does is everytime the Zen software trys to display an ad by going to the Internet and grabbing the ad, your Hosts file says that Ads @ Nlop are to be gotten from 127.0.0.1; which is your machine. Since your machine does not have the ad, it shows as not found. So there is no slowdown of your machine going to the Internet every 5 seconds for a new ad.

Hmmmm. I just installed it. Is this the same kind of deal as Rise Poker? I tried that out for about a week and uninstalled it.

So I was at the final table of a freeroll tourney that had 65 players originally and paid 20. Now we are down to 4. All of a sudden my hard disk thrashes and grinds and after a couple of minutes of this I get a yellow pop-up, Your Transaction Is Not Authorized Or Has Been Canceled. The pop-up overlays the bet slider and can't be moved or closed. After a few more minutes I get another yellow pop-up, Warning, if you don't resume active play your tournament will be forfeited. Sure enough, after a few more minutes I am unceremoniously dumped from the tourney -- with none of the several thousand 4th place points I have earned.

To say the SP/Zen software isn't ready for prime time is putting it mildly.

I have on 2 occasions had over 10K points only to have them disappear the next day..

on several occasions the betting slider did not work

3 emails to support have gone unanswered (and yes I checked my spam folder as they suggest)

would be nice if they send someone on this forum to answer questions/hear complaints..

They did eventually credit me with the points.

Quirks: No Sitting Out. If you are away from your tourney for 10 minutes, your buyin is forfeited, this is true even if you are in or near the money, your prize is also forfeited.

Breaks are at random intervals.

Sometimes just mousing over a tournament will result in your being registered, and I haven't seen a way to unregister.

Looks like your points get rolled over into "lifetime points" or some such thing. Fixing your host file is key to stop the site slowing down.....

So we have South Point and calshark.com. While watching the WSOPME on TV, I seen a commercial advertising http://www.americascardroom.net/

What's going on folks, all these play sites popping up. How soon do you think legalized iPoker will be here?

BTW, I want the old WSOPME music theme back.

I just watched the entire poker hearing today. cliffs: consumer protection was emphasized more then anything else. I think its promising, but its not going to happen soon. i'd say 2013. I get the feeling the regulators with have to look into various technologies and implementing them into the poker sites for consumer protections.

I'm beginning to wonder whether it's a good idea to join online poker sites that are run by B&M casinos. Remember the case of the WSOP ME entrant who managed to get himself 86ed from all CET properties in the middle of the ME for tossing some woman's clothes out the window of his room at Harrah's? (He had made it to day 2 but had his chip stack forfeited.) What if SP bans someone from their casino because they think he is a card counter, or for some other reason, real or perceived, and as a result the individual is also banned from the SP online poker site? Or vice versa. The SP software is unbelievably buggy, what if it decides to 86 a player because the software thinks he is blocking ads, and then the individual finds himself unwelcome at the Garden Buffet?

Should people enroll in B&M-affiliated poker sites only under phony names, for this reason?

Just registered 2 days ago. Quite hard because I operate on a MAC OS platform and switched over to Windows XP to give it a swing. As stated above its a advertising nightmare, but the software is alright. Of course its going to have its drawbacks as its in the Beta Stages. Plenty of donkeys roaming the grounds so I suppose thats a good thing if you're a semi tight player. The only thing that interest me was the free bonuses and the chance to win a 10,000 seat to the WSOP. Has anyone got close to winning the seat? It's fun seeing the first casino taking a stab at online poker... it should fuel the rest to do so also!
