Our team is working to resolve this issue. Please retry or return later." when I try to go to the login page.

so much for playing the Main event satty tonight...

yeah, i basically had 90% of my hands folded for latency, so I just went all in with A9 and left.

And then it stopped lagging and I came in 2nd in the 231 person $10 tournament for zero dollars. awesome.

Anybody know when the $2000 Monthly runs? I qualified last night, but the tourney ticket in my prize section of the wallet doesn't say ****. I am a mac user so I can only run the browser version of the game.

Edit: NM was able to see it on the client on a different computer. can't play it til Feb.23

So I've been following SuperPuppy's tips and I've been making more final tables than usual :P
It's mostly the Cash freerolls, but I have yet to score, but Im confident I'll get one soon. Sucks because all the big satellite/special freerolls are at times that are inconvenient, so the ones I enter 25/50/100 ones. They put the monthly 2ks on a Friday night. WTF

I see that they added a weekly 1K tourney (50K pts entry). The site must be doing OK if they can add this. I looked at the payout and the winner got $500 for first in a ~1K field. So much better than literally battling 5K people for $30 -_-

Yeah I've been using an adapted strategy to that and its pretty bang or bust. People play so wacky its basically like quintuple up on the first ten hands or go out. I will second whoever said the RNG is crazy here. But what the hell, I don't have to deposit any money to play and I get a chance to win some **** including $$. We'll see how I do in the monthly I qualified for, what time does it run and its always a friday?

OK i was a bit mistaken. It looks like one of the 2Ks is on Thursdays and the other on Fridays. They're either at 6:30 or 7:00 PST :-/

I agree about the free dough. I been having trouble depositing on Merge so I said F it. No money down here and my odds are much better here than against all the super solid American grinders.

GL on the 2K. Hopefully one of us ITT will take it down eventually!

How much does the South Point pay you guys to bump this thread every few days? Or do you just work there?

Thanks we'll see how it goes. I am wondering though if I need to reign in the crazy strat for the final tournament? Are the fields of "qualified" players playing more standard or is it still loldonkaments for the most part?

One Strat note I'd share is to balance out the crazy aggro donk play by playing some hands like its Limit Hold 'Em. I have been watching it happen in every tourney on here that people either shove everything preflop or everybody trys to play the hands like it's limit, except they still don't play any competent limit strat for the most part. You'd be surprised how often you can just limp/call to the river, hit a decent hand and still get paid off when you shove by air or middle/bottom pair. if you keep the bets super small like no bigger than 3x people just call down. Bet too big and its right back to a shove fest.

Yeah, IDK, pretty lame.

Also Poker_triad, its a pretty good deal. They basically offer a 1.4k equity ticket every single night for about 800 people, so its a 1.50 tournament with a super soft field, which is better than stupid zygna or something.

although it seems like the WSOP stuff is over, because I dont see it anymore, so I guess their thing is the playboy mansion party, which doesnt much interest me.

Hmm...10K seat or chance to bang a Playboy bunny. I'll take the seat too. I went to their website and it appears that any mention of the seats has been removed. I'm guessing their traffic wasn't enough to justify giving away 10K a week in addition to the cash prize tourneys. Sad the seats are (apparently) gone, but I still think the larger freerolls are still worthwhile.

RIP South Point Poker.

Zolz, from the FTs I've been in, the people are actually pretty strong and used advanced tactics so yes, put on your best pokerface

Sorry if we are annoying you poker_triad, but I'm obligated to bump this topic every few days because they gave me lifetime buffet pass and a $100 slot credits

IDK what other tournaments you think are worthwhile. $100 tournament with 500+ people is 20 cents of equity, and any bigger tourney is a satt.

Also, I think my odds of banging a playboy bunny would still be zero.

Here I was thinking that they were going to keep the WSOP Sats until June or so.... Again feeling like the fool.

They didn't give too much details on the Playboy party. I couldn't find anywhere if they were giving away one ticket or two, transportation, expenses, ect.
I have been to KandyLand 3 times (a sister event) over the years when I had to go for work.
It had the same setup as a real Playboy party with Hef, his girlfriends, and all the playmates running around, but no celebrities.
Full access to the grounds and zoo, but not inside the mansion itself.

Anyone can still go for a $1,000 donation to charity per ticket. The event is being held on February 25, 2012.
PM me for the invite code.

FYI: Hugh Hefner is 85 years old and will not live forever. The Playboy Mansion will never be the same once he is gone. It should be on everyone's bucket list to go at least once.... And it is for a good cause...

Now the tournament for Kandy Masquerade has passed, I guess the only thing is worthwhile for me is the $2,000 monthly events.
$850 in cash for first with no buy-in is good enough for me.

It is now nlop.com . Not clear that the software will be the same in a future South Point site, nor that the meager cash prizes are still guaranteed by South Point.
