apparently the google translate AI created its own language too. it translates things from say Chinese, into its own ai created language, then into whatever language you request. pretty cool

It wasnt creepy at all, just a nonsense story hyped by media that doesnt understand whats going on. AI isnt anywhere close yet to being able to create something by its own will. FB is and will be in full control over their AI programa for a long time to come.

meh, im down for pretty much anything. Ai vs human anything are probably my single favorite news stories ever. be that the OP title, AI vs DOTA 2 players at TI8 or whatever.

im pretty happy that they are able to take the gaming engines and apply them to real world solutions but i also hope for personal interests sake they keep pushing these boundaries as well.

one interesting thing i heard in a conference of the OpenAI team was when they were asked if their engine scaled linearly or exponentially in difficulty as more heroes were added to the pool. he paused for a bit and said probably increased exponentially in difficulty. which, supposedly means that humans get a tiny bit extra of life injected into their game :P
