When I first saw the thread appear in NVG, I thought it would be about shooting craps, not bikers. Can't believe it took me so long to open it.

One of their guys was targeted on his motorcycle out in the desert. They found out it was the Mongol's and that they were gathered in Laughlin, Nv. HA's organized quick, including calling in guys from Germany (for some legal advantage reason if I understood correctly).

Anyway they rode up to Harrah's in droves, practically ghost-riding their bikes at the entrance (ghost-riding means jumping off the bike while it's in motion, and the bike goes on w/ no rider), in the middle of the day and stormed the casino with no regard. fists, Knives, clubs, screw drivers..you name it.

A decent amount was caught on video. Security locked themselves in closets and hid behind the cage etc. I'm not trying to glorify this, people were killed. The point I want to make is the Hell's Angel's, although large, well known, educated, very organized with even their own lawyers and seemingly main stream, are still a club you don't want to mess with and if one of theirs goes down, you can be sure there will be a payback.

This is not to say the mongols are not formidable and nasty, they are, very much so, but they don't have the sheer size and origination and money that the HA's do.

I just got back today from staying at the golden nugget in las vegas for the first time ,and as I walk in its wall to wall bikers,the biker fest is in vegas at golden nugget this week. Other bikers say that today will most likely be the day of a retailiation in old vegas so if your down there watch out.There will be a million cops down there tonight so it should be a very interesting night. sons of anarchy should show up and take control of the bikerfest.

If this is a shot at gangs in general, I'd agree it's a huge waste of life and people in them are borderline ******ed. That doesn't mean they are not a threat.

Ha Mongols fued has be ongoing for decades. The reported dead ones are just the ones that make the news. Probley a lot more that we dont even hear about.

Bike clubs are not gangs. Also a lot of members of these clubs are doctors-lawyers etc.

Interesting story. Nearly the exact same situation happened to me a few months back while playing at Bodog. It's a night I will never forget, but I'm still not sure why I ordered the fried chicken.

Docters-lawyers being members of something, doesn't automatically make me think it's something good. At some point in life I unsubscribed to the "doctor-lawyer" title equals good and "cops don't lie" theories after a few doses of reality. And calling the Hell's Angels (and similar) a bike club, would be the same as calling the KKK a community social organization. These so called "bike clubs" are heavily involved in drug trafficking/dealing, prostitution and extortion etc. etc.

There are bike clubs that ride for pleasure, socialize with other motorbike lovers, collect "Toys For Tots" and collect for hospitalized children. Then there are the 1% badge wearers that collect for criminal gain, and will catch you alone, kick your bike over, beat your ass, and your bike will be parted out before the next sunrise. Don't confuse the 1%ers with your grandpa's riding buddies. The bikers involved in this shooting are all extreme 1%ers that would kill you, and you'd never be a bar stool afterthought.

If the doctors/lawyers are in a "bad" bike club, then that doesn't automatically make the bike club "good".

So let's say there's a "bad" bike club with doctors/lawyers in it. Either the doctors/lawyers are turning a blind eye to the criminal activity or they're participating in it. If you're Hunter S. Thompson, you can ride with them and still be cool. I highly recommend his book Hell's Angels. That was written in the sixties, but I'm sure some of the same effed up activities go on today.

Ol' Hunter thought the Hell's Angels were his buddies until he got the beating of his life. LOL Yes that is a good book (a must read). I miss Hunter, his writings and his blog.
