Don't forget to put Mike Huckabee on the list of *******s bought and paid for by Sheldon Adelson. He spoke out against online gambling after a nice contribution from Uncle Shelly.

The irony is that 15 years ago, Sheldon actually held an online gambling license from Alderney (as Venetian Interactive).

What I dream about everday is to wake up and see this thread be 29 pages further than it was the day before and to see 80% of the hatred posts from the poker players firing 17 bullets every Venetian deep stack $200k guarantee

Respect evil? Assmunch, Sheldon has never respected a thing in his life.

I hope he goes slow n painful. I hope he suffers immensely. I hope is addict son, the one that’s still alive, recovers completely after his dads passing and live a wonderful, sober life. I hope his wife marries a 2p2 member and establishes rake free poker online and at their B&Ms.

I hope people learn that it is ok to wish hate, pain and suffering on those that get joy out of freely dispensing it.
I hope people realize repesct and empathy should not be given out automatically because people are old or dieing.
I hope most of u have a great weekend.

MrAdvantage you got issues...yeah Sheldon may have contributed to Black Friday and online poker's demise here. He's a rich man who wanted no competition from other avenues. So be it. Him dying won't solve a thing.

Him dying will solve 2 things...

1. The world will have less evil.

2. We'll be happy knowing Sheldon is [mod snipped] in hell for eternity.

You are right, the death of the dude that still throws money to politicians to kill any momentum the online poker lobby has been making since black friday will not solve a thing. Are you stupid?

Lol poker is the least of the worries with regards to this pig being dead or alive. He is an evil pos who uses his money to hurt the human race.

DIE FAST AND SLOW AND SLOW AT THE SAME TIME YOU EVIL PIG

Another major benefit to him dying would be less CO2 in the atmosphere.

This will probably not satisfy you, but NVG has different "standards" (lol) for posts which can be considered "political" vs non-political posts.

It looks like Adelson is going to be involved in yet another lawsuit. We know Adelson has spent huge amounts of money trying to put internet gambling out of business. This time the owner of the Las Vegas Sun is claiming Adelson is trying to put him (along with his liberal viewpoint) out of business:

The Plaintiff, Brian Greenspun, is pretty well-heeled in his own right, has been in gaming (Green Valley Ranch) and has the newspaper his father bought 50 years ago as a personal project.

I guess Adelson's health isn't quite as dire as all that.

Can he die already, this is taking too long.

.... grow up.

Adelson is not as much a barrier against legalization of online poker in the US as is the collective inability of US poker players to organize politically in their own self-interest.

The wave of sports-betting legalization presents an opportunity for some log-rolling. ..... what have you done to advance online poker's cause recently.

Sticking pins in your imagined voodoo doll is childish, sorry.

(Personally, I do not care about online poker legalization in the US, I am not a stakeholder in the industry and do not play online. No dog in the fight, but I would support your efforts if you can articulate what you've done .... same to Rich Muny btw.)

It's hard to compete against a guy (whom one report said is worth about 35 billion) when he can hire about 24 experts who work nearly full time on the issue.

From a Washington Post article in 2013

"Advisers to Adelson say he is intensely focused on the coming battle {internet gambling} and talks about it every day with his staff. He has about two dozen experts working nearly full time on the issue."

https://www.washingtonpost.com/polit...6d4_story.html
_______

About 24 experts working on an issue, now that sounds like a barrier.
