nice "its him" jokes and bad talking about the only guy(from germany sorry for my bad english) whose posts are really making sense and are not there to create bloody internet drama about a personal situation which in my oppinion was clear from the beginning.

Or That Will was drunk and basically partying?? Everybody knows that alcohol (and party atmosphere) changes everything. For example The value of things changes and the understanding of situations goes down drastically.

Just go to any party or club and and try to watch other people and their weird behaviour.
Not to forget dude allready let other people bet for him which def doesnt make the atmosphere more professional.

The same goes basically for the friendship factor. Most people actually do things around friends or to friends they wouldnt do to strangers. Maybe a similar thing happened to Will before that. Thats not allways clear for outsiders and yes sometimes friends got problems with each other because of that.

The only difference here is the poker world where big money is being handled all the time.

If you combine all that there are so many possibilities of things that can go wrong you cant even count or mention them.

Having spoken to the person who was the victim first hand this went down exactly as the FB poster described. To say that the guy he robbed from is a nice guy is an understatement and he was clearly being taken advantage of by Will knowing that it was very unlikely he would have caused a scene about it if caught. Its a good job other friends were there to back him up.

It's laudable that he's put his hand up and owned up to his error and taken responsibility for it, but it's also sad how almost every day there's yet another financial scandal, misdemeanour or act of dishonesty in poker.

I don't understand why players can't save the worst side of their character for playing the game itself and keep it within the confines of the game, a place that it's very suited to.

"Error of judgement" is putting it lightly when you decide to steal casino chips from another patron while gambling at the same casino that sponsors you.

Today I learned that if you steal money from a friend, it's just "foolish", "an error of judgment", and "an embarrassing incident". Prior to today, I thought it was called theft. But I am not a lawyer.

lol he didnt own up to ****, he just admits he got fired for being a clown and tries to save face. admitting what he did would include mentioning what happened past saying sorry.

I agree that it was not a full or proper explanation and I just Tweeted this to him:

Owning up to doing something despicable is really laudable only if you do it before you are caught. This seems like pure damage control. So commending him for not digging himself in deeper only goes so far.

The best thing about this entire incident is that the reason the casino found out about it was he apparently was talking so loud in the bar - his speech play finally felted him more than the table stakes.

And to the Boss guy who said he’s no different than DNegs and made up 50 excuses about things being different if you are drunk or between friends blah blah blah, you get to sit in the corner with the pointy hat.

I'm going to wildly speculate it wasn't pre-meditated nor something he's done before but being drunk (alcohol is a depressant), having had poor MTT results for 1 3/4 years, the "devil on one's shoulder" got the better of him and he opportunistically pocketed the chips.

Seeing someone else quickly win £4K may have made the world feel an even darker place than it already did, having bricked more tournaments.

I don't have him down as a big winner in cash games and even with sponsorship ~2 years of travel costs and much brickage + living costs, adds up, maybe -~$200K.

I agree it probably wasn't premeditated...unless by premeditated means he thought to himself at some point: ' if the opportunity comes up, i'm going to steal some money'

Very unlikely the first time he ever tries to steal from a friend also happens to be the time he gets caught though. More likely, he's done it and gotten away with it enough times to make him get sloppy and caught.
