I just thought it necessary to come by and put this to bed. The whole situation is a misunderstanding, during the GUKPT in Leeds I was partying and drinking with friends. One of the guys was playing roulette and was up about £4k, me and the other boys were celebrating as he hit a winning number. During the celebration a £100 chip accidentally fell into my pocket. I appreciate this doesn’t sound plausible but it’s the truth and I’m happy to answer any questions you all have. The Deebsta just doesn’t like me and as such is making slanderous tweets about me.

Met him in vegas at the rio sports bar kitchen seemed a down to earth guy just enjoying life. Again ill say "SEEMED" only spoke to him for 5-10 mins waiting for a snack.
He even admitted he is trying to work on playing a bit quicker. Whether he is.. is a different story.

he definitely 100% has to act quicker no question about it.. and maybe limit his talking especially when people will def not respond to him

1. Horse****. Annoying remarks directed at a another player during a hand are not a "legitimate" form of play.

2. I would expect a discretely delivered, credible threat of a punch in the face would suffice to obtain a discrete cessation/redirection of a bullying tactic.

To those that have the audacity to suggest my version of events aren’t accurate with wise cracks about lucky chips and sirloin steaks falling in pockets.

1. I think his speech play/table talk can get repetitive. Limits on its quantity and frequency should be written into the rules IMO. This would be better for others and ironically would also help him because he would then have to focus his speech play on big spots only such as tournament life decisions.

2. There are more clever and subtle and non violent ways than that. When I said it is a form of bullying, I meant in the same way that an aggressive player can bully another by stealing their blinds or constantly 3 betting them in position.

My only real problem with him is the repetitiveness of his antics. He's not thinking about what he's saying, he's on autopilot. He may as well just be quoting the Hungry Caterpillar whenever he opens his mouth. It has no connection with his decisions.
He comes out with the exact same guff in a £150 tournament in London, the kind of tournament it looks like he'll be back playing from now on.

I agree with all that. I just didn’t think it was very likely he was trying to cheat the games which was where the thread was heading at that point

The thing that doesn't add up here is that the players arguing with him at the bar about the incident who then decided in the taxi home to resolve things amicably the following morning after everyone had time to cool off, were a few short hours later seemingly happy to leave him to hang out to dry purely because the incident had now become an officially casino witnessed one.

If feels like they took the easy route and couldn't be bothered to show any backbone or real friendship to someone who made a relatively minor error of judgement or behaviour.

Stealing from your friends isn’t a minor error of judgement, if you don’t know this you should probably stfu although I know il get a long response full of bold and underlined parts.

1. It is "written into the rules", at least in my experience in the US where I have most often played.

2. I don't give a rat's ass what you think is "more clever and subtle and non-violent". I posited an effective, direct method of dealing with a bully who is acting inappropriately toward you, if one is capable of a credible performance. Escalation can be a very effective "counter-measure" at times in discouraging a repeat of bullying. Your now saying, "oh, but I only meant bullying within the rules of the game" , dodges the fact that Will often is NOT acting within any set of rules of the game. He is being an bully, and does not seem adequately deterred by admonishments by the floor in the videos I've seen. A discrete escalation in response to his bullying seems in order, if possible.

They were "seemingly happy to leave him to hang out to dry" precisely because it had become a public matter and their hands were not dirtied in the pursuit of what seemed a justified calling to account.
