In theory it should be the easiest thing in the world. Just eat meat, fish, chicken, and vegetables.

And then just get in motion, try and get in 10,000 steps a day

It isn’t 3D calculus, that’s for sure

So it was a disorder when it was just for his health and his family but add in 1M for a cool Twitter prop bet and it’s something that can be overcome.

I think I understand quite well actually lol

I am even more bullish now of him winning the challenge, having coincidentally seen him on an episode of Poker Night In America that was shot in late 2022.

Episode is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fdg_aEfTIOE

Not only does he have thin legs, he also has fairly average sized/thickness arms. So he is not a 300lb+ guy with thick forearms and big thighs who naturally has a lot of bulk that his frame carries, he is an average build person naturally, who has just piled on a lot of pounds in the middle part of his body. He might have a fairly stocky build in his chest, neck and shoulders,
but that's all.

Unless he is mentally weak, which I highly doubt given his enormous success in poker over many years, I think the real probability of him winning the challenge is around 75%.
And no I don't want to bet on him, I am just giving my opinion.

It must be brutal to be in a heavy caloric deficit and focus at the tables. Maybe live its easier cause it's just 1 table and mostly donks where you make auto-decisions, but there's no way he doesn't lose some of his edge.

No way it's ev+ for him to play a reggy 25k or 50k before he gets to a point where he feels good. Not saying it was ev+ before, just for sure it won't be hungry and tired..
His only weakness is hungry and sleepy.

Props to each of you, by the way. I'm not quite at Deeb's body type but I keep progressing that way (I'm still putting on "COVID weight" even three years after the shutdown). This bet has oddly motivated me to at least get back to my pre-2020 size, and we'll see where it goes from there.

He has above average genetics and is under 40. This should be a lock for him. Obviously he is mentally weak in that aspect of life or else he would never have gotten to 300+ but there’s other factors involved mainly his grinder lifestyle and all the damage done to his endocrine system.

I know americans are ignorant and think they need a nutritionist to be a normal BMI but go to any eastern /central euro country, and you will see 99% of the people walking around with a healthy BMI, its very rare to see a single person overweight and I'm pretty sure they don't have personal nutritionists. Its just pure gluttony nothing more.

Lol this American isn’t like that. But as another poster pointed out, it’s probably all the fast food crap joints.

This will be the hardest thing Deeb will do in his life. There is no way to know whether he has the mental fortitude for this. It is possible, yes, but I’m doubtful an obese person can do this. This is akin to trying to get a lifelong pack a day smoker to quit cold Turkey for 14 months straight with no Nicorette patches.

Hey hey hey, the servings are of normal size!

Spoiler:
We just tend to eat eight of them at a meal.

i thought about what i would do if i had to win a bet like this. i think this bet has a lot of wiggle room, but if it was truly "all out trying to lose bf% like my life depended on it" (which this challenge is not, it has a lot of room to behave somewhat normally and win), i would start walking 12 hours a day and only consuming chicken basically. this is my view:

min 20k steps a day, higher if possible. imo easiest way to drop massive bf% is if he just walks some big amount like 8 hours a day, but it has to be sustainable too. even 20k might be too hard on him if it was every day initially, so i would try 10k for the first week and then ramp that to 15k the next week, and then finally stay at min 20k for the rest of the challenge. the biggest factor to whether he wins is just going to be how much walking he does imo.

have someone portion out all food and only stick to that food no exceptions imo. easiest is to frontload the will power, so only drink black coffee for the first 6 hours after waking, then eat in a 4 hour window after that. if u are walking a lot your sleep will naturally be regulated as you will be ****in tired.

when creating a "pace" for tracking progress, try to frontload the pace... instead of just drawing a straight line from eg. 40% bf to 17% bf, make the pace more aggressive early as it gets harder later and you want flexibility later if its hard to get the last couple of %, also the last %s are harder than the first %s. i think its better to just go all out if you actually can adhere to it, which just comes to a single choice, is losing an option or no. because its much more motivating and its much better when you are "cruising" and easily winning the challenge instead of stressed that you may still lose despite efforts.

most gym programs is actually zapping willpower making the bet harder imo, lifting is good and increases base burn, but for all the effort spent flipping tires in the gym etc. hes probably better off walking which is easier to burn more fat% (higher % of energy expenditure burning fat). i would just do heavy lifts only, and go back to walking. but actually lifting is not even required to win the bet, only diet and walking imo.

I have met him multiple times, but that is irrelevant.

Nothing I said implies that personal knowledge is required.
