Matt Staples gaining all that weight wasn't a healthy thing for him. Not at least in terms of longevity. Tacking on mass for the sake of gaining weight like Mac from It's Always Sunny ain't a good thing. His heart certainly isn't healthier having to work so much harder providing blood to more mass while being trapped in the same small frame.
What really boggles my mind is not that anyone thinks that adding 50% of your overall mass to your weight in a year is somehow not unhealthy but rather that the majority of you idiots don't see that as being unhealthy. Y'all are stupid and advocate unhealthy lifestyles. Could not pay me any amount of money to try to gain the same amount of weight as Matt Staples did, that's dumb as hell. Matt could have put on maybe 20 pounds of muscle in a year without too much negative health effects but 55 pounds can't have been good for him. No shot he lives longer carrying around an extra 55 pounds his whole life, in fact the opposite is true.
