Maybe after 6 months or so it gets easy. But it's way easier to eat good for a few weeks than to actually change your lifestyle.
This is why most people who lose weight gain it back and often more.
I've done a get fit, lose weight, build muscle challenge for myself 6 times and just started one again about a week ago.
I agree with Xenoblade that the first few weeks are the hardest. This is because you have to go through a lot of pain both physically and mentally
and your brain keeps telling you that you can't do it, it's impossible, so what's the point. What often happens is that you do give up 3, 4, 5, 6 times in the first
3 to 4 weeks, but then hopefully at some point during this phase your brain says "no, I will not give up, I will do whatever it takes."
I am two from five in my ultimate fitness drives, so hoping to make it 3 from 6.
One of my failures was actually prep for a WSOP group of comps where I felt I wouldn't play my best unless I was super fit, but I was too weak mentally
on that occasion, gave up after 6 weeks of diet and fitness discipline and ended up not even going to the WSOP.
