Gonna be a tough like just like the staples brothers one. Too bad only one of them managed to keep the weight successfully. There could be some sidebet if he can keep it up in like 17-20 range for six months after that. So easy to get back in to your old habits.

10% would have been nearly impossible, 17% I think is very possible.
The main thing against Deeb achieving the 17% is that he is already very wealthy.

If he was someone with a <$500K net worth it would be a lock for him to do it.

Pulling for Shaun but win or lose I can see him ballooning back up to even heavier than he is now. The bet should have been extended for another year that he still has to be at 20% a year later.

How did they get from 10% which is pretty difficult to 17% which doesn't sound that hard?

But I might be biased because I know so many people in the 5-10% range. I assume Perkins had some smart people do numbers for him that show it's not that easy for a guy like Deeb.

Anyways, Polk couldn't get to 15% so Deeb getting to 17% seems like an awfully big hill to climb..........and he literally needs to be climbing hills.

17% is definitely doable in 14 months - 10% would not be. Getting 10 to 1 on 17% in 14 months seems like a steal - feel like 17% should be even money.

Deeb is 37 years old, 310 lbs, and has exercised less than 50 times in his entire life. This weight isn't just going to fall off of him.

Perkins probably sees a guy he likes who is morbidly obese and wants to help him out to live a healthier life.

If he has to pay $1M in order for someone to potentially significantly extend their lifespan then Bill probably considers it a good investment.

I knew Deeb has been obese for a long time but he's really piled the weight on. I'm not sure money would be a big enough motivator for someone like Deeb to shed the pounds.

Should be doable, but hard since Deeb is a live grinder now, and to do the bet he just has to stop playing live effectively..

In the beginning it will drop pretty fast but after that yeah gonna be a fight. When you have money on the line and the results are -500g / week gonna be mentally tough to push through.

Why? I'm guessing that majority of the online players sit most of the time. There are plenty of live players in very good shape.

Or do you mean he can't eat healthy and just keeps ordering the same nuggets 24/7? That's not true either.
