Very true. What's a bit odd is the guy who got "scammed" is older with a successful professional life from all indications. Would figure he's been around the block enough to avoid getting taken advantage of like this.

If it was some younger poker guy getting taken advantage of wouldn't blink an eye.

Let me explain something to you....

1) I was trying to help out pretty much a stranger with $500 but he insisted on 10k to play the main, so I gave him 2k for a satellite instead.
2) Instead of telling me he played the tourn and busted- When I call- he tells me to **** off and that he's keeping the 2k. (This was Bc he was angry that he didn't get 10k from me)
3) I have not heard or seen this guy since that call 5 years ago until he made the November 9.
4) I've contemplated about telling my story for months. Until I started hearing stories about what a good person he is, especially from my Asian people - even my own parents thought that he should win.

I posted this story for my fellow poker friends to be aware of the kind of person he is.
It is what it is, I'm done talking about this.

If the bolded were true, he wouldn't have said that he thought he was entitled to half the winnings.

Had his original FB been the same, apart from that thought, he wouldn't have got the same reaction and might've been taken seriously.

As I explained to people earlier, Nguyen was completely irrelevant to the poker world prior to this win. It'd be like me posting about how Joey Joe Joe Shabadoo stole $2500 from me. I'd end up with a lot of responses such as: "who?", "we don't care", and "cool story, bro." Because he's a nobody until he's a somebody. Nguyen is now a somebody.

This Andy is obviously a fool. Why give 2500 to a total stranger? I recently won a local tournament and a bunch of people I don't even know asked me for money, I told them all to fu*k off.

To be fair though, you sound like a terrible human being.
