Multiway it all gets absolutely ****ed and no one knows what the hell is going on at all I'd say. I'd guess it's a praying game of having live cards

The 3b is probably just that he's playing a mostly 3b or fold strat sb v btn. And he has removal to the only hands that "crush" (read: has any equity edge at all) him by holding AK. And now he runs into like the worst case scenario and is a 40/60 lol

There are huge problems with that though:
- AA's going to be a decent portion of button's opening range

- SB's not always realizing all of his equity

- Having a pair means that SB's going to fold flop more, and have less outs if you get in w/1p. This problem intensifies because button's AA and strong KK heavy when he does 4b so your outs are further reduced with one pair

- When SB does flop well, a non-negligible portion of the time he's going to be smoked by a set.

Also, AK977's a **** hand and means SB's 3-betting way too much.

folding less, taking the aggressive line more, fast playing are all things that makes your redline go up

the hard thing I guess is to find the correct balance so that your blue line doesn't get completely smashed in return

Dont forget that being a huge Calling Station certianly helps, too.
