I think it was nearer to 12-13. It takes some serious passion to be that dedicated. Screw Isildur, ForHayley is my hero.

No way. The second ForHayley sat down on NL50 with a positive winrate he was making more money than his mom&dad combined, or close to that. Russia isnt a very kind country to the average countryman, heck, ppl without a job in Sweden got a better standard of living due to social security net and with all that is within than a random russian with avg salary.

He had all the motivation he could need as he was BALLIN' out of control in Russia when he was a NL200 regular.

Viktor Blom, the blonde tall handsome as **** MAN from northern Europe with balls of steel and a attitude that reflects ALL OR NOTHING (probably because he will not ever end up in the streets unless he goes fullblown alcohol or drugaddict due to our fine SOCIAL SECURITY NET but NVM that) HE is the one who took them all on, and even SIMUNTANEOUSLY. THE ULTIMATE DEGEN!

NEVERFORGET.JPG

seriously, never forget how ****ing awesome he was when he hit the scene for realz, I mean "for realz" because we OLDER guys we were around before FTP and the railbird-madness - when he was donking it up at iPoker busting the whole nosebleed scene there with the biggest whale-tag ever, and he was, but he was a improving whale that got better and better for each day and the trademark-style of Isildur, constantly adjusting to whatever he saw/tested and deemed good.

YES I GOT THE GHEYS FOR THE MAN

09-20-2013 , 03:16 PM
So motivated grinder<reckless degen?

Find this interesting from forhayleys blog, jus skimmed a few pages and found this comment on passion for the game:-

"Well, at the rhythm of a good working pace implied by stuffed full distance. The desire to disappear, mmm. I do not know. Perhaps, like many, at one point going on a glut of poker, especially when it is viewed solely through the prism of finance. If a person fanatical respect for his work, he is able to deal with it day and night, but I, for one, completely missing the love of this game is, and is perceived solely as aforesaid possibility of potential earnings. On the one hand, this is a plus, because I've never had the desire to win bracelets and get into the High Stakes, and the lack of ego in poker in general think one of the key factors of success. On the other hand, there are situations when it is so zadolbalo that scary, and it's bad. It is necessary to find a balance and to cultivate a professional, but it comes with experience, I guess."

Wonder if his opinion has changed since this date... I always thought highstakes ppl had to have the passion, to keep improving and playing every day.

NOONE have had a greater impact on the railbirding as he did, and forhayley cant ever come close to that just because he grinds a bunch. leatherass and nanonoko joint together as the same

god people's memories are short!

wow that is crazy. One of the few comparisons is Korean starcraft progaming houses where this is the norm day in day out. Poker is way harder to put volume into though: you can screw up a whole day's training as a progamer and your career isn't harmed; you screw up big time one day in poker and a month of grinding your heart out disappears in front of your eyes. Almost no job forces you to walk the high stress tightrope that poker does.

I take my hat off to anyone can put in that volume, it's so far beyond anything I can cope with. I know I can't handle more than 8 hours in a day. Even 6 and I'm emotionally drained.

Also known as Chung Ho on Stars, used to crush limit holdem now crushes O8. Don't think he plays live so even if his name is known it wouldnt really mean anything to us
