Entertaining slow roll.
Is that a way of showing misplaced disgust?

Not only wrong, but completely obnoxious and out of line (re: NioNio)

And while Ike's probably mostly right here, he's only sticking up for his friend.

And I think most would agree that Scott would have been screaming for a top 3 payout if he was the short stack.

Revenge of the Nerds Part 3 IMO

This is true. And it doesn't change the fact that they're wrong (on the wrong side of the argument, not wrong to be upset).

Every single player is looking out for himself in this spot.

It's hardly a surprise is it?

Scott is obviously fighting for self interest here but is completely right and no one should "blame" him here..

Ike, as usual, is a boss.

Of course Scott is fighting for his own self interest within the framework of the rules provided, as are Klink and Fees. Anybody who would be doing differently is taking the worst of it and probably shouldn't be playing 100k tournaments.

If he was going outside the framework of the rules to make this argument, that's a different story.

The other players have every right to be upset with the tournament officials but acting like Scott is bullying his way to an extra 70k equity is ridiculous.

Both spot on.

+1 for the Ike Haxton fan club too. Also lol'd at Jungleman's dreamy post.

I should point out that matters such as how poorly the poker room handled this, the unreasonable rake especially given the delay for the stream and so on, are separate to whether Scott is right here..

Probably getting hand by hand updates of hole cards. Surprised they allow cell phones. Even with a delay still valuable info. He seems to be the only one constantly on cell phone.

As I am watching the livestream, there is a live TV debate about Scottish independence. They are using the hashtag #Scotdecides

Not to be confused with #Scottdecides which is completely unconnected.

Is it considered a bubble if you get around half of your entry fees back?

I am the only one rooting for SS to get 3rd?

Had Allen actually been watching the feed he would've noticed that Scott was playing OFC.

So, they make it clear that they're paying top 2 places with <= 10 and top 3 with more.

They then change this during the tournament, when it had already been clearly outlined, and Scott is somehow wrong for complaining? Am I missing something?

You guys are just assuming he is doing it for financial gain, when in fact, all money aside, he is clearly correct to complain. You guys would probably say that the short stack would be a ****** to complain too, even though it is the logically correct decision.

They're allowed to get updates they all have the same access to information.

This is srandardly done on all live stream events at the wsop.

Some time before poker my mind sport was debate. If $100K tournaments are going to be so badly run that debate is going to be an essential poker skill then maybe I should be offering coaching.
