You can seat players with better players and the game will just not run. Especially when charging insane amounts of rake.
Pros play to make money, not for the experience.
Should they hand out penalties for not playing? This creates even more hostility for both regs and fish.
Zoom only? A lot of fish don't like Zoom, so you'll push more players away.
Party has the anonymous table system. The reg sits with a stack making it obvious it him and the game always breaks within an orbit, if there is no fish.
Now, there is a lot more angling and grimming going on, and fish get annoyed by constant camping for two orbits, when the regs are trying to find out if a fish sat.
You can do subtle stuff like not have scripts sit you within 0.1 seconds, so it looks like players are joining naturally.
Or you can make the wait list invisible when at a table.
But you can't get rid of this problem, if you can even call it that.
When I first started to play live in a must move system, I hated it. I came from live NL where we constantly table changed to chase the biggest fish. But guess what, over time I've learned to love must moves and realize how bad table changing was for the game.
At my casino, if I sit in the MM game and it sucks, I can quit, sit out an hour and get back on the list for the next open seat/game. That sucks, and I never do it because even a sucky MM game should be profitable for me, and games change rapidly as new players arrive. We are all on equal footing, no crusher has any magic technology to beat me to good games, we end up with similar mixes of weak, good and great games.
The games are better too because of this mix. And fish don't feel as hunted (though don't get me started on seat changers), and seem to play more and longer sessions.
Stars could never ban seating scripts, enforcing it would have been a nightmare. Sounds like they found a better solution, and games are going to improve because of it. Players will adjust, like they always do. Seat script sellers will whine and no one should care.
