Well there is the market segment of people who want a game with random seating but then to play a game with meta against the same players each hand.

There is only a "seat me"-only pool on Unibet so technically there is no need for "seat me"-only on stars, but given that pool is growing and the stars zoom and scriptable pools are both shrinking, I doubt people with shares in Amaya see it that way.

This is whats going to happen anyways and doing it this way pokerstars lee jones can announce afterwards "well, we gave people the option but they decided for all zoom"...

People keep talking about how these measures killed cash games on FTP.

They don't realize that in those days, you had top dog Stars as an alternative site to play on. Now that most of the sites are implementing same measures, there's nowhere to go. Either play (fairly) or don't play.

I'm totally fine with this change. It's extremely ******ed to look in reg table lobby and see 20 tables with like 3-6 ppl on each wait list, rather than having those people start playing immediately on new tables.

I have nothing against people who want to table/seat select. But it has to be fair, scripts are currently making it unfair.

Those of us who play the "odd" games have lost action because of Seat Me. We lose action from people who would see an Omaha8 game running and decide to sit down and try it out.

No, Carbon quit paying their players for months at a time and are scum bags. The lobby change had nothing to do with anything. Bovada got rid of table selection a few months back and is doing just fine.

If we want cash games to be around for the long haul this is the only way unless completely anonymous or Zoom. The only people saying other wise are the bum hunters of the world or the people the bum hunters brainwashed into thinking it's bad for the games. What's bad for the games is a rec sitting down and a waiting list of 100 bum hunters instantly forming around him, only to snap sit out as soon as he busts.

RIP bum hunters, you had a good run, time to learn how to beat people with brains.

Unibet has used this from the day one and they are doing just fine.
