Oh I just remembered on time he got my friend.
5/10 nl at bellagio. My friend raised ace9 Jimmy 3 bet my friend called like an idiot (jimmy is only 3 betting kk+ and maybe qq if he's feeling frisky- this was about 10 years ago so maybe that's changed.)
Flop AK9 and my friend stacks off for like 2000 vs Jimmy's set of kings.
No scam here but I laughed at my friend several times over the next few months for stacking off here. Lending him money seems like a slightly better choice.

He even put Cyril Mouly in the shop as a "**** you I don't give a ****"

The triggered virtue-signaling snowflake routine is quickly losing social momentum as people have had enough already, better find a new identity.

Background of the photo doesn’t really help the “Asian with the camera taking photos of everything” stereotype either lol. (Again not making light of whoever’s passed loved one).

the only two people photoshopped into the photo are Thong and his wife(?). the others are holding up video calls of loved ones who weren't able to attend, so that they will be included in the memorial photo. hmm, i suppose that doesn't really weaken the stereotype either!

So first post I wanted to let you all know Jimmy Tran is not only a scammer but a known cheater as well. He worked with Men the Master for years as 1 of his cheats who dumped chips to him. His wife Angie also cheats with him. Played a few 1k sattys back in the day to get into wpt 10k's and him and his wife were at my table in 1 of them and I caught them dumping chips and taking chips off the table during the break. I confronted him and he tried to butter me up and told me how much he loved my play and wanted to stake me. He's a real POS. I told Ken Lambert about it and he disqualified Angie but that's all that happened.

So this guy is bad bad news, stay the hell away from him.

Never mind holding up video calls from loved ones joining in remotely, and forget the hundreds of photos pasted on the wall... no, the most "Asians photograph EVERYTHING" stereotypical part of this is that someone decided to take a photo of people standing next to a deceased relative.

Of course, I say all that yet I actually packed my camera when flying up to Oregon for my cousin's funeral years ago. It wasn't until I arrived that I thought, "the hell did I bring THIS for??"

Finally, BringBackMo might have found the "Two Wongs" crack offensive, and I guess that's his right. But BBM should be more worried about the most recent contributor, KevinFroom. Kevin warned us about Jimmy Tran. But he also had choice words about Angie Tran. That's right, he doesn't like Jimmy Tran nor Angie Tran. You might say Kevin is being...

[puts on sunglasses]

...Trans-phobic.

I'll see myself out.

He used to be known as Jimmy “Knoc” Tran. I first saw him at WSOP 2004 (Greg Raymer year). He was running a racket with the Asian girl that ran the $1050 single table satellites to the Main Event. She would save a seat for him in the softest single tables. Every body had to stand in line and they would seat you in order. Jimmy would walk around looking at who was the next group in line and nod to the girl when he found an “easy” table so she could let him bypass the line and get a seat. Recently saw him at Wynn in March playing sattys. He has not aged in 20 years.

to be fair, that's typical for Asians.

He screwed me over in Dallas. I gave him $1,500 to buy some of his action. Same tactics too, showing his online profiles with his winnings. Thankfully, that money came from my winnings that night and not from my own pocket. I'm not sure if I'd call it a scam since I wasn't actually lending him money, I was buying action. I guess it was a risk I took. He even offered to set me up with one of his daughters and all, as if that mattered at all, haha. Now he keeps calling me, asking for more money through Zelle. To cut a long story short, this post is no joke. Thanks to the OP for bringing the attention to the masses.

Why anyone would lend money to a guy who looks like he can frequently be seen chasing dragons all night at the Baccarat tables is beyond me

Saw him at Rio on Wednesday 6/21/23 playing the Seniors Day 1A.

He is going by Thong Tran listing Las Vegas, NV as his home and he bagged Day 1A.

So if he owes you money, might be able to catch him cashing the Seniors Event!

I've seen him hanging around Sports Book at Red Rock next to their Poker Room in past as well.

Then it did come from your pocket.

Did he win that night?

You almost definitely got scammed- I doubt he'd pay you if he won unless maybe it was a small amount and he was long gaming you.

Going forward don't lend people money in casinos and realize hendon is an absolute joke.
