Poker players owed money use threats of outing the scumbag to the 'poker community', the engine of which appears to be mongs like me in nvg (lol).
So they get repaid, the scumbag's reputation is in tact, leaving them free to pursue sponsorship and tv (Secret Millionaire for instance - the fact Feldman claimed people were saying he owed £250k not £25k is a giveaway) opportunities and that is that.
I feel like I or at least nvg should get a cut of monies repaid.

This debate is always ongoing on the internet.

At the end of the day the guy is a baller worth millions. Fact. Yes Kanu etc are probably better players than him fundamentally, and yes he obv ran super hot at the right time. But he's still a decent player.

At the end of the day it's all about $$ won. Kanu might make $700k a year for the next 3 years playing HU vs the best online players but Trickett might keep luckboxing scores and doing well in Macau for 2-3x that.

I do it myself, it's all bitterness over seeing someone who isn't really amazing at the game we all play crushing and making millions. But I think people underestimate what it means to be a good player overall. It can be about game selection, making good contacts, choosing when to quit etc. Kanu and the rest of the online gang might be more concerned with proving how good they are than actually just making £££.

So yeah, he's obv good, not the best, but makes money so props to him. If he goes around saying he's the best ever then yeah he prob deserves a bit of backlash.

^ You are saying haters gonna hate, which is all well and good, but I think most peoples gripe is that he really isn't as well off as he makes out to be, which is comical to say the least.

Granted I have no idea of his personal finances, but having played with him in a 1/2 game and seeing him visibly upset at losing a pot of approx £800 suggested that "millions" was definately on overstatement.

I'd be suprised if his net worth was over £1/2m
