Sam was a team player. He got lucky in the 90's and got with this girl-
Marsha Hartman, who was mob connected and set up big junkets from
Chicago. Sam got with her and she used to stake him for 4 or 5 million
total. Marsha bought a place in Atlantic City for Sam to live and play
poker. She was fascinated by his poker ability. Marsha used an alias
Marsha Horowitz or something. She had a gambling habit playing slots,
she'd play the $100 slots. She even dated Jack Zwerner for a few months
way back. She was a junketeer- she'd bring in high rollers to the
hotels for a cut. She had junkets at the Mirage, MGM and Treasure
Island- she'd get a cut of the money the high rollers lost. She lost
all her money playing slots and staking Sam Grizzle- she lost millions
staking Sam.

Sam is at the final table of the $1500 main event at Beau Rivage in Biloxi today. I played event #12 and railed him for awhile after I busted 8th (brag). Sam was cracking jokes nonstop. He was playing pretty well, had a nice stack going into today's restart.

Beau Rivage Poker

Robert Harwell raises under the fun to 22K, Sam Grizzle called out of the small blind and Corrie Wunstel called out of the big blind. The flop came Tc-8c-3c and Grizzle checked. Wunstel bet 23K and was called by Harwell. Grizzle moved all in for a little less than 200K and Wunstel didn't waste much time in announcing that he was calling. Harwell folded aces face up and it was a good fold as Wunstel had flopped a flush with the Jc-4c. Grizzle had pocket queens and would need a lot of help in order to survive. The turn was another 3 giving Grizzle outs to any 3 or queen but the river blanked out and Wunstel took down the pot and eliminated Grizzle in the process.

Sam Grizzle finished in 5th place winning $20,428.

Came to Vegas this weekend to play The Wynn Fall Classic. Was hoping to play against some pros. Registered the 300 PLO/8 tonight and got seated between Sam Grizzle and Kathy Liebert. Not what I had in mind.

I dealt tournament poker for 18 years, and 3 years in the Bellagio main room, and Sam was, bar none, the worst-acting player of any of them.

Since Puggy died, Sam lost his main backer. About the only time he gets into the big games anymore is when Herschel (can't think of his last name, he likes to play high-stakes Badugi and triple draw) is in town for a tournament. Puggy also got Sam back into a lot of rooms that he was kicked out of. I've been out of the Vegas poker scene for a few years, and I'm not sure Sam can even get into Bellagio anymore.

this is all true about sam grizzle and worst, ive lived the nightmare for 9 yrs and we brought a innocent child in to this mess,it is march 18,2008 me and my 7 yr old daughter have to leave our rented home today we've been evicted and she's been withdrawn out of her school for non-payment.we have no money and nowhere to go,sam snuck out yesterday never to return and left me and our daughter literally stranded on the streets to fend for ourselfs. the reason we were renting is because sam lost all the money from the sale of our home.about 600,000 worth and didnt even get us a new home.or any money for ourselves.weve had t o rent ever since. hes left us stranded before but never like this with absolutely nothing,im scared for me and my daughter he has ruined 2 lives, ive never told my side of the story ive always sat back and listened.but he cant get away with what he has done to us anymore.especially to my baby.he has ruined her life!!!!!!!.I dont know what we are going to do today when we have to leave here, but this is the true sam grizzle,he is everything and more of the things you have heard.
