Even better. I'll drive 5 hours and find out what game/stakes we're playing when I get there.

My favorite thing about the cameos in Lucky You is that the fail Hulk is trying to act like he's this hot shot, but under the radar, poker player. And he's like in some scene and all of a sudden he's like " Oh and hey.......SAMMY FARHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!.....* sammy farha validating my poker movie *............ ( more dialogue ).".

It was the worst, accept it was the best at the same time.

My favorite thing about Lucky You is that it ends with outright collusion.

It's a movie.

And guess what? Every movie about a profession does the same thing. Backdraft is not going to be an accurate portrayal of firefighters, and firefighters probably discuss it saying, "Oh, man. You see that explosion? No way those flames would..." or "...those chemical flames are 1500 degrees, no way his suit would..." yada yada. Any Given Sunday is not going to be an accurate portrayal of NFL players, and...

I could go on, but perhaps you see the point. Relax and enjoy the simpler things in life.
I'm reminded of the scene in The Full Monty where the out of work metal workers are watching a tape of Flashdance in order to learn how to to a Chippendales' type routine and one of the guys kepps criticizing Jennifer Beale's welding technique.

hey im probably just ******ed and am missing something and this might have already been answered but isnt there math off at the end of rounders...
he starts with 10k doubles to 20k then plays again and doubles to 40k...then he has to pay 6 to chesterfield 10 to his professor and 15 to grandma which is 31k which would leave him 9k but at the end it says and after all that im back where i started three stacks of high society.........and also i think he makes a comment like i left with just over 60k.....

the math is right if he left with just over 60k, after he doubled up to 20k there was obv more reloading from KGB, totaling just over 40k

Mikey exercised great bankroll management throughout the movie.

I am actually surprised that matt damon isn't working on a second rounders. You can see him grinding bigger stakes and playing well only to once again fall into trouble either withbankroll issues or playing vegas' other vice gameslike craps... or maybe he is cleaning his box at the bellagio realizing poker was to only make a living and now he wants to cash in and instead of sitting at poker tables he wants to sit at beaches... well he gets mugged, through the years he has made somefriends and they agree to stake him but tournament poker only (to go with the popularity of the sport) plays a fee events until he either hits big with either main event or 50k horse, (he doesn't even need to win just a strong three place finish so he can walk into the sunset.) New players would love this movie I think we can get another moneymaker effect out the movie as well.

Don't think risking all of his money in the beginning of the move or risking his life for 40k at the end of the movie is evidence that he has bad bankroll management.

He muscles KGB for half his stack on hand #1 and shuts down any chance of a drawout.... Well played.

In the very first hand mikey gets kings... Teddy does in fact come over the top and raises to $5,000. Mikey then comes back over the top all in for the full $10,000 stake.

this is the part of the movie that completely baffles me... i mean cmon. I know mikey is fresh off getting dumped by Joe, but this seems like the perfect rebound. Joe doesnt give a flying **** about mikey... and Petra seems like a freak... and she also has grind on the mind... what can get better? Cmon mikey.. stick it all in.

this part of the movie is completely unrealistic and ******ed. it tortures me everytime I watch it. where the **** is Scott Bakula and can we get a Quantum Leap to set right what once went wrong?

obv the poker playing is hilariously bad but the characters are great. another funny part is Mikey's story about Chan playing limit with like 10 bets and like 5 betting Chan off of a hand with rags preflop lol.

"ya need 60 grand to play right in that game"

"I had 6"

moments later....

"aces?"

"rags"

I said this a while back. KGB had a set of 10's... I would bet a big sum on it. His reaction completely tells me he had 10's as well. The only other hand that beats him is the nut straight there or a set of Aces which is why KGB says "that ace couldn't have helped you." I mean look at his reaction when Mike flips his hand over. I guess some could say Teddy had A10, but I'm not buying it.

Pretty simple breakdown IMO.
