Re-directs to Full tilt now when you try to go to it...Weird! RIP? First time visiting the site in awhile and wanted to view some tournament stats. Was an old school site similar to hendonmob.

They totally dominated 2+2 years ago. 364,000th ranked site in the world 2 hours ago. I wonder how much they got from their sale to Full Tilt based on this ranking.

2+2 ranked 10,000th something when I checked one minute ago.

I was told that the owner and a guy named "Razzo" and Gary Carson was very mean to 2+2 back in the day. Anyone know the details?

visited pokerpages recently (w/o getting redirected), but afaik the website was sold years ago to pokerstars

edit:

"Industry consolidation : Global Poker Index and HendonMob takes over the database of PokerPages while all the traffic is now redirected to Full Tilt Poker." by aleyx dreyfus

Gary Carson died recently, Razzo was just rumored to have died (heh @RGP), then I think he really died. Razzo was a well traveled poker dealer. Carson was great, but curmudgeon a better description than nice. Carson's book was my first Hold'em book and it served me well way back then. Both old time RGP usenet group personalities back in the day. Carson would not have lasted around 2Plus2 very long without being banned, but no doubt was a genius, just one of those that never could adapt to the conventional world, or the posting requirements of 2Plus2. Spent his last days playing poker in the Oklahoma Indian casinos, so I guess not a bad way to go.

What happened to Barbara Yoon and Abdul Jalib and DaVoice and FossilMan? I've seen RGP archives and these names were very active.

I had a printout of a poker primer by Jalib that I would sneak peeks at my desk when I had a chance. Good and original writer if memory serves.

Just noticed this today about PokerPages and made me sad. Anybody remembering their old poker software that only offered LH & 08 for casino vouchers in the late 90s? Then they changed it to a newer WSOP type 10k NL software and servers were just crap.

Didn't know about Carson passing either. The good old RGP days of him & Kidpoker arguing about LH hands and other topics lol

i had gary carson's book. outstanding in many ways (gary is very good writer) but not so good in other ways (i don't think it had recommendations on when to raise)...... i think it's one of the most enjoyable and informative poker books ever

i loved rgp but probably got there a bit late....... loved that russ georgiev.... did fellknight and tanya (get married?) live happily ever after in kingman, arizona?

Here's some remnants: https://twitter.com/pokerpages

Interesting, there's no title hit on Wikipedia for neither pokerpages nor pokerpages.com. Nobody has created an article . Extremely surprising, imo.

This is 2009, according to its place in the blog: blog.pokerjunkie.com/online-poker/pokerpages-com-has-left-the-tournament-area. At least it has a screenshot of how the pages used to look. I remember them being in a red format, when was that?
