Man it's so cool to read all of the fun stories on Twitter from other people who have played/had dealings with him. What a great guy and will be sorely missed.

Hoping there'll be something if significance at the WSOP in his memory.

RIP Doyle.

RIP - his legacy will be appreciated more with each passing year. Hard to imagine the game without his influence, but can say with certainty it would not have the scale or the legitimacy without him.

A lot of people in 2023 still see poker as gambling/addiction even tough there's a million dollar industry behind that and a lot of pros out there doing it for a living.

Can you imagine how worst thing were at Doyle times?
When most of the people considered a 9-to-5 job as the only respectable way of living?

Doyle, if there is life after death and you somehow are reading this message I would like to sincerely thank you, you paved the way for us to have the bless of doing poker for a living. If you just gave up instead of I think most of the pros we have out there would be doing another thing instead of playing poker (myself included).

Kudos to Doyle.

Wow I can't believe it's real this time. I remember back in the full tilt chat days , you couldn't go 5 sec. Without someone commenting "RIP Doyle".

Doyle Brunson holds a special place in poker history.

Whatever his private thoughts or feelings may have been, he was always gracious in every contact I ever had with him, in business or personally.

RIP Doyle, you should be an example for players and industry types alike to emulate.

RIP to tall the losers who posted RIP Doyle before yesterday and didn't make it until now. It's been a meme for a decade plus, how many people RIPed before Doyle?

The man must have had an iron constitution to have lived as long as he did with the lifestyle he lead.

I dealt to Dolly many times in the Horseshoe at Table 60 when the WSOP was in the northwest corner of the Mint on all of 30 tables in the 1990's, and again in Bobby's Room at the Bellagio. The man wasn't especially generous with tokes (tips), but he never got out of line with me (I can't say the same about any other high-stakes player I dealt to, except perhaps Freddy Deeb). I don't ever remember him going off on any player, either, although he could get a bit salty at times.

RIP to one of the main ambassadors of the game.
