Why do people make dumb posts like this?

I was fortunate to meet Chip last year. During Chip's interview with Cardplayer I phoned in a question about Chip's biggest "scores". Chip invited me to meet him in Bobby's Room and he would share a few stories with me. A few months later I took him up on his invitation and had a twenty minute chat with him while the Big Game was going on at the Bellagio. Chip told me some stories and we had a few laughs. I'm glad I had the chance to meet the greatest poker player of all time.

RIP Chip, my thoughts and prayers go out to your family.

It doesn't really matter now, but does anyone know how pneumonia can be fatal within such a short amount of time?
Reading Gus' statement it must be a terrible shock to all the people who were close to him.

“I have lost one of my oldest and dearest friends today. He was one of the most unique individuals I have ever known and Poker has lost one of the greats today.”

The Brunson family requests that they be allowed to grieve the passing of their dear friend. Funeral arrangement and donation information will be released along with an official statement in the next couple of days.

Pneumonia can be fatal given other medical contitions. My son has had it twice this year and me once.

I really like this idea, if you are interested for real you should send an email to the WSOP council (don't know who are members now but I know that DN used to be a member) so that they evaluate it. You have my +1

it doesn't make sense that someone who is only 56 and seemingly healthy can succumb so quickly to pneumonia. and how do you get pneumonia in vegas to begin with? its the driest climate ever. did he have any other undisclosed health conditions that might have weakened him? this is definitely unexpected and tragic. at least he got to live a life that was filled with success. rip chip.
