I am posting this here as it is a well trafficked forum and I am sure many of you may have come across Buzz over the years:

If you who haven't heard we recently lost a wonderful mod, person, and member since 2002:

RIP Buzz

Hi R*R:

You couldn't have said it better. Buzz was a wonderful person and a tremendous asset to this websitre, and the whole 2+2 family will miss him greatly.

Damn. I remember him from posting in the o8 forums almost a decade ago. He was always incredibly respectful and helpful to anyone and everyone. He really went above and beyond in his posts.

Sad news. RIP Buzz.

Can't overstate this enough. He put more effort into strategy content and helping others than any other poster I know. Not too many people browsed o8 so in that respect he flew under the radar.

RIP

That's awesome - I should look and see if I have any pics, although I don't think I do. Didn't take too many pictures at 2+2 parties. That first picture of him (at the table with others) - he'd get that look once in a while, and if you hadn't met him before, you'd think he was zoning out a bit. It was always evident shortly after that he definitely wasn't.

When I picture Buzz, that's the shirt I see - pretty sure he had a lot like that.

Also wanted to add - the first time I met him, it was at the Golden Nugget 2+2 party. He was, of course, helping with the name tags and whatever else needed doing. Every year at the get-togethers, he was asking if he could help with anything.

Always took the time to answer o8 questions in detail, prob spending more time trying to work through the spot than the person who originally asked the question. That kind of energy made me think he was a lot younger than his picture. Congenial class act.

I was always amazed by how much time he would spend helping total strangers on the interwebz figure out some silly card game.

RIP Buzz.

My best to his friends and family.
