Happened @ Hard Rock casino in a $2,650 tournament.

This has been confirmed by multiple players in the HS community.

I’m sure this information will be public soon.

(Mod please edit OP to Hard Rock)

was this as simple as a fingernail scratch, or something more complex ?

he won a 1k in april for 107k at the hard rock haha.

this is also the guy who locked himself in a dark room for a prop bet, successfully bought out after 20 days and 62k.

Never met/don't know Rich so I'm not posting as his friend, but it is pretty shixxy to make this type of thread based on unsubstantiated hearsay.

He has a horrible reputation and is a well known angle shooter. This allegation has been confirmed by multiple well known and highly regarded HSNL players

The only thing I know about him was the prop bet and hearing DGAF talk about playing with him on his podcast (he spoke well of him).

The main issue is you didn't even have the name of the casino correct in the initial heading of your post and said you "heard" from several sources. It may have happened but before ruining someones rep it would probably be best to have definite confirmation. From this latest response it definitely sounds like you have a bad opinion of him already and you mention high stakes players but don't provide any names which sounds sketchy. Maybe someone else will post and my initial 'gut feel" is wrong but the "allegation" seems bad on its surface with no corresponding info from anywhere else that this happened.

As I said, I am directly refuting this allegation based on the information available to me, which is that I knocked him out of this event post registration closing.

I think it would be important for one of these "well known and highly regarded" players to post in here and attribute their name to it.

I was at Hard Rock all week and it seems very unlikely that this news didn't spread at all around the poker room.

Interested in hearing any other info that comes out other than unsubstantiated claims on someone based on their reputation

Thank you for putting your name to this. Something sorely lacking from OP, either himself or his sources.

Also lacking from OP was the correct name of the casino, and the correct tournament this allegedly happened in.

(FWIW I live a few thousand miles away and I've never even heard of this guy. But if we are to take seriously outing the bad actors in poker, a modicum of responsibility is the least we should expect.)

Darren

always respect someone willing to not be anonymous, but...

How does the fact that you knocked him out refute the allegations that he was marking cards.

Is this just a thinly veiled brag that you stacked someone in a live MTT?

Cause how can he be disqualified if he’s already knocked out

pretty sure her would be in jail or charged with a crime if this were true. Archie Karas got three years in the big house for marking cards.

Maybe it just means banned? He got knocked out but security found it/just asked to look at it afterwards?

Just making a guess

3 years probation. Point stands though that this would be a criminal act if it was true.
